“Do come back and tell me if she doesn’t. I’ll let you dig through my sample CD’s to show her till you find something that does suit her current tastes.” Addison replied, not the least bit phased by his own open offer. “There is a literal difference but preference would be wholly personal. I will say that if your friend doesn’t own a record player then all bets are off for that option.” What a bummer it would be to receive music without a means to listen to it immediately.
Patrick nodded wordlessly, continuing to thumb over the album cover. He wasn’t sure if he’d ever take the offer - not until he acquainted himself with terminologies, an unlikely reality - but he smiled at the man’s kind sentiments. “I’ll take a CD then,” he said, though Alexander did seem like the type to have a record player somewhere in his apartment. And now Patrick was having second doubts. “Actually, I’ll take both,” he said, biting his upper lip to suppress a nervous chuckle. “Oh, wait. Maybe I’ll get the Hamilton vinyl, then.”
