This novelization is based on my favorite movie of all time, so I admit to being it biased! But...I 100% enjoyed it from cover to cover. I appreciate how I fleshed out the characters we already know and love. The sequence in the beginning concerning the battle of Serenity, which made Mal who he is, should have definitely been included in the film. I highly recommend this book for anyone into the Firefly series, the Serenity film, or both!

Just finished reading Prisoner of the Daleks by Trevor Baxendale. I have read many Doctor Who books over the years but this is most definitely in top two I've come across. I thoroughly enjoyed this from beginning to end and will be recommending it to fellow Whovians to pick up! Description: The Daleks are advancing, their empire constantly expanding into Earth's space. Just finished reading Winter by Marissa Meyer, Book 4 of the Lunar Chronicles. Finished reading Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. If you're even in the ballpark of being a fan of the 80s, science fiction, or video games, I highly recommend this one. “In the year 2044, reality is an ugly place. Just finished reading Mortal Kombat by Jeff Rovin, a novel inspired by the original video game. The story is much different than any Mortal Kombat we'd know today. I'm still on the fence about how I feel about it but I am a fan so I'll eventually get all nostalgic about it. “Finally, in this all-new, original novel, the unknown origins of your favorite heroes and villains - the brave Liu Kang, the lethal Sonya Blade, and the vile Shang Tsung."
Recommended Reading: Cress by Marissa Meyer, third book of the Lunar Chronicles. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite series of all time. And I'm not ashamed to admit it's loosely inspired by fairy tales! “In this third book in the bestselling Lunar Chronicles series, Cinder and Captain Thorne are fugitives on the run, with Scarlet and Wolf in tow. Just finished Scarlet by Marissa Meyer. It's the second book in the Lunar Chronicles. Just finished reading The Infinite Sea by Rick Yancey, second book of The 5th Wave series. I personally think this is better than the first book. It's more of a psychological trip than sci-fi, though. Book Description: “How do you rid the Earth of seven billion humans? Rid the humans of their humanity. Surviving the first four waves was nearly impossible. Now Cassie Sullivan finds herself in a new world, a world in which the fundamental trust that binds us together is gone. Just finished reading this. I was ify about the movie but this book really put things into perspective. It's a very unusual spin on alien invasion fiction. Really enjoyed it. I'll probably start the next installment soon.
