Happy Birthday 🎊

Something about seizing the day,

taking things one day at a time,

making the best out of lemon soup,

wishing on stars in the daylight,

being excited for the conversation,

knowing when to walk away,

saying it like it is,

being comfortable in your own skin,

and relentlessly pursuing the dreams you know to be right and wonderful in the world.

Stepping on someone else’s toes,

Separating sticks from branches,

Long division,

Taking down old posters,

Burning something important

(But not too important)

And thinking easy about the times that could have been different than the way they actually turned out, when, in the moment, you’re really not in that place any more, you’re just watching yourself think back to a time when you believed ideology had more value than it does right now.
