With my birthday coming up, now is a good time to make it official.

I'm leaving Tumblr.

Thank you for the last 10 years. I won't delete my page cause it would be nice to look back and see what life was like back when I lived with my parents in Ontario. I'm just too old for this website now. Oh yeah, I moved (quite a few times, actually). Mutuals, perhaps I'll see you, if you're ever in Calgary.

I saw a documentary about the 1988 Kintetsu Buffaloes. They played a doubleheader against the Lotte Orions on the last day of the season; they had to win both games to secure their first Pacific League title since 1980. Naturally, they are cursed, so they failed (won and tied?!). Why must the Kintetsu Buffaloes do this to me?

Meet Sister Rosetta Tharpe, the black woman who invented that rock and roll sound

You know what’s sad, before I even read this article I was ready to refute this because I grew up believing Chuck Berry created Rock and roll. It’s said how so many knew of this great woman yet none spoke on her greatness.

I also discovered Big Mama Thornton, who’s another hugely influential early inventor of rock and roll — I’m pretty sure Hound Dog was originally popularized by her, before Elvis stole it.
