You attended a lot of the original housewarming parties and "family dinners" with the Deetz, which was were he was introduced to you in the first place. Each party was the same either way in the years to come, and someone each time managed to get on his nerves

Except this time he refused to be polite about it. You knew Beej was protective and mouthy but hopefully he would have a little bit of courtesy during such big parties like the Deetz's. You were wrong, of course, because too many people were trying to get too close to you tonight

This one was a regular, no particularly related to the Deetz in anyway except for being a long time friend on Delia's side. He was always very fond of you from the first time he had met you. You decided not to let Beetlejuice know about this guy for the sake of not ruining the party with his big outburst, but tonight it was a little too much to handle

You slouched your way into the crowd and back to Beetlejuice, hiding your face as best as you can with your hand and into his arms

"What's up, whatd'ya want, whach'ya need?"

"Do you see that guy over there? The one looking around all clueless?"

"Yup."

"Well he won't leave me the fuck alone-"

And that's all it takes for Beej to look at you with a dramatic, dumbfounded "Oh yeah?" face.

"Leave it to me Doll,"

It was useless and you were ,quite frankly, scared to be absolutely embarrassed in front of everybody at this party. You knew he couldn't help himself in situations where we could start up some drama or be the center of attention. He was at the man you pointed out in the matter of second

And without letting the man get in a single word,

"You see that absolute masterpiece over there? Yeah the one hiding behind that cup? Of course that was Beej making you do it and he'd be in his own sort of trouble for doing so when the party was over. Huffing and turning around, you nervously slipped into the crowd deeper

"Yeah, so uh- what do you think the chances of getting with her are huh? You think I have a chance, we have a chance, do you think so?"

"Uh-" "Yeah well that's where I'm going to stop you right there buddy. They ain't INTERESTED and will not BE interested and you should get the HINT that they AREN'T? Got it? I think you got it.
