3.22.2015 - Arts District Adventure(ADA) with my coworker, MirMir. 

For this shoot, I wanted to experiment with natural lighting. I’m learning a lot about how lighting lately. Primarily on articles and looking at how others use lighting on photography from fellow IGers.  We found a random alley in the Arts district with beautiful flowers and leafy walls. 

My favorite photo is the second photo with Miriam and the brick wall background. You can see the shadow from the cable and the branches growing on the walls. 

This is why I love the Arts District! There are so many hidden spots and I can always count on this place to get my creative juice flowing. 

I need to blog more. I apologize, I’ve been so busy.

Happy factor of the day

So thankful for the cashier at 7-11 who was kindly willing to accept my $4.00, despite the total being $4.65, just so that I wouldn't have to break my twenty dollar bill. A small gesture goes a long way. Thank you for giving my bad day a spark of hope.

Beethoven in Music by Erika Iris Simmons

Using an X-acto knife, Erika cut up actual Beethoven sheet music, carefully keeping each note and bar in place before rearranging them into a portrait of the iconic composer, as if Beethoven was bursting forth from his own composition.
