We got asked if this is cute and okay. I can very happily say yes, this is stupid cute and those are happy porcupine noises.

One of my favorite things about doing zoo work was all the noises you never realize the animals make when they’re excited or interested in a new thing. Coatimundis squeak and snuffle, and giant porcupines make that sound.

it’s not going to be very literal because trying to translate every mumbled phrase and conversational word will be Very Annoying

It’s one of my favorite pieces at the Renwick. It’s a solid block of mahogany and you can see the impression of knobs under the cloth.

No matter how long I look at it I simply cannot get my brain to understand that there is no fucking clock. There is nothing under there because there isn’t an under in which a clock could be.

One of the coolest art pieces I will probably never get to see.

I saw this is person when we went to see an exhibit on Heikki Seppa, back in… 2001? 2000? I forget when I was taking the class on anticlastic metal forming at MICA. The pictures are amazing. The piece in person is ASTONISHING. It LOOKS like fabric.

I dunno… I still think little kids are evil and dangerous no matter how you raise them. Frankly, they scare me and I’m not opposed to banning children across the world outright. Maybe we should just stick to cats and dogs after all, they’re much safer, more loyal, less expensive and just all around better.
