Personality: Flamboyant, friendly and fiercely curious, Phi is one to always throw himself into any social event given the chance. Guided by his longing desire to make lasting and meaningful connections with the people of the star, he is constantly wandering, trying to find the next get-together, venue or celebration. He simply wants to know what others are doing and how he can be involved, no matter what! As long as it can make someone happy. Even with his more reckless side of ignoring caution, Phi can surprisingly meticulous and effective with his combat and crafting. From youth, he has always had an eye for fashion and detail, as weaving was one of his primary contributions as a former Tia. Within combat, he is a particularly skilled dancer and even moreso with aether control. To administer his spells more effectively, he creates ranged star-formed weapon constructs, allowing him to properly aim and fire his spells into allies and foes. He is not one to hide such flashiness either, usually using his higher control of aether as more of a parlor trick for his older job and to impress new friends. Phi knows he's good, knows he's beautiful, and enjoys it that way.
Backstory:
Born Ai Tia of the F tribe, Phi was once a beloved part of his tight-knit community. Known for being easy to talk to and even easier to excite, he was seen as one of the tribe's natural mood-makers. Phi had been going on with his days as normal into his teens, weaving, gathering, and studying. However, his male friends' focus had completely shifted. They were now solely devoted and hoping to become the next Nunh. All of their conversations had fallen into the same pattern, where Nunh was the only thing a Miqo'te should strive to be. Being a Tia was a sign of weakness. A sign of clinging on to youth that couldn't be revisited. Phi started to hate the world he had been born into. He began to hate even himself, every time he saw his ears wiggle in the mirror. The titles of Tia and Nunh... He hated both of them. The disdain he harbored had grown too much for him one night. He needed to let it out somewhere. A boost of confidence led him to finally confessing to one of his closest companions what had been festering in him for a year now. "I don't want to be Nunh. This system is stupid." By the next morning, the tribe began to treat him like a ghost. Simple pleasantries were no more, his talking would fall upon deaf ears, and even his friends would not acknowledge his existence in the light of day. His teenage stubbornness, however, would not allow this attempt at exiling succeed. Weeks had passed, nobody had spoken a word to Phi except for his immediate family. Then, one night, his former best friend Rika had an invitation for him. He followed her out, desperate to communicate with someone again... ...Phi would escape, wrists and body scarred and bleeding. Finally, his tribe's exiling had succeeded. As fast as he could, he sprinted to the nearest airship station, and got on the closest one could. Tears in his eyes, he had made a decision. He didn't want to be a Miqo'te. He hated them. That night, Ai Tia was no more and Phi Selene would take his place.
