Australian politics right now is absurd. 

First a labor senator is revealed to have been basically paid off by the Chinese government to take their side in the south china seas issue. 

And now labor senators sneaked out, then when the lnp decided to knock off early and hoped on a flight back home they all ran back in and passed some bank regulation bills. Like, wtf.
