Thinking about how, in The Suffering Game, Taako sacrifices his "beauty" (whatever that means to him personally) and has his appearance permanently changed and how, on top of this being about his vanity, his appearance is unknowingly one of the only remnants/remainders of his sister he has? Like, they're identical twins, and the concept that his appearance is one of the only remnants of Lup left in the world after she was removed from everyone's memory is so interesting and sad to me. The idea that Taako unknowingly gave away one of his last links to Lup that he didn't even know he had, and feeling some sort of deep loss about it that he literally, physically cannot describe or think too hard about...and sure, he can magic his appearance back to an extent, but he has fundamentally lost such a big part of not only himself, but of the most important person in his life, and he doesn't even know.

God even reading the tags you all leave on posts as your own personal messages fills me with a connected love we all share and hold for this piece of media. We are all in a way affected and whether its the same or not doesnt matter, but what does matter is seeing that connection and knowing that we shared that love. That space and time were spent hand in hand together. Wondrous item, legendary (requires attunement) ___ This prosthesis is made from meteoric alloys and resembles a sophisticated arm guard, which actually functions as a brace. To attune to this item, you must attach it to the end of a missing arm or hand, at which point it magically attaches to you and forms a shadowy copy of the arm or hand it’s replacing. The shadow is speckled with constellations and cosmic colors. The prosthesis is a fully capable part of your body and can’t be removed against your will as long as you’re attuned to it. While wearing this prosthesis, your reach with that arm or hand increases by 10 feet, as the shadowy limb extends beyond your normal limits. You don’t gain this benefit of the prosthesis when attacking with a weapon you’re holding with two hands. The prosthesis has 5 charges for the following properties, and it regains all expended charges daily at dawn. Though the brooch and figurine weights are negligible, the carrying case has a weight of 2 pounds. The brooch, figurine, and metal case all share a command word. 𝘽𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙘𝙝. While wearing the brooch, you gain a +5 bonus to any Intelligence check you make to learn relevant information from a book or scroll you’re reading. While holding the brooch, you can use an action to speak the command word followed by a book or scroll’s title, subject matter, or author.
