After Inquisition/Tresspasser, THIS. IS. GIRL. HAS. BEEN. BUSY!!
it took maybe a year for her to emotionally and physically from the ordeals of trespasser. Most that time is spent in the company of her Clan in Wycome and taking care her ill mother too. Part of the time is spent in Kirkwall near Varric in her new house in Hightown. Thanks to old Inquisition connects, and Varric's, she is able to commission the Smith Caste of Orzamar and the Mages of the new Enchanter's College to make an enchanted armored prosthesis in little over a year. After a couple months of rehabilitation, she sets off on her own. Free of oppressive duty and pressures of others. These are the best days of her life.
What has she been doing? I'm glad you asked!
First off traveling EVERYWHERE in search of anything elven. Whether ancient or even recent. She looks for and documents histories, legends, oral stories, describes all the Dalish crafting to a painfully detailed degree, and sends physical first editions she finds in the wild back to Kirkwall or Wycome. Physical artefacts found are stored in her Kirkwall home. She may know of the truth of the ancient "gods" and elven people, but the Dalish of now are their own culture and deserve to be preserved. If the Veil truly is brought down and burning everything in it, all elven history whether right or wrong deserves to be preserved. The Elves have already lost so much, the people of the new world could have a chance again...
Singing! Many people, at most, knows the Inquisitor is a Dalsh woman, maybe even remembers her name being Lavellan. As she travels she uses part of her name to remain anonymous: Ana. When she's traveling she uses a disguise of being minstrel to travel freely under the radar especially since she's had her vallaslin removed and singing is how she gains traveling money. And plus she just loves writing music and singing.
Giving out orders. Though the Inquisition is officially disbanded, a very small cell of trust worthy people still take orders from her but are mostly self governed. Since she travels so much, she has her own personal Raven provided by Leliana (named Ser Red lol). her people often contact her for any information she found or she gets the final choice on how to proceed if there's division. If she can't be contacted, Varric, Dorian, or last resort Cassandra will be her mouth piece. But Dorian is a sure fire way to get in contact via Messaging Stone.
Finding Solas... anyway moving on.
She returns to her Homes, a couple times a year. Mostly to Wycome, where she recruits her clansmen to her mission to transcribe all her latest findings into many many copies and to be dropped in several preservation locations: Sundermount cave system of Kirkwall, An underground vault in Wycome, Pavus Household in Minrathas, cave systems of the Emerald graves, Cathedral Vaults of Val Royoux (under lelianaâs watchful eye), the vaults of Fereldenâs Castle, and, for a last ditch effort: in the shaperate of orzamar.
Ashti'ana, or "Ashti" among loved ones and "Ana" for those who can't pronounce it, is a mage first to her clan. She found herself leading a huge organization at only 22.
Pre-Inquisition:
Her childhood was both interesting and boring at the same time. Ashti'ana is the product of a union between her Mamae, Rhiannon the Hallakeeper's apprentice at the time, and Father, "Coop" the First and too be Keeper of a different clan. When Ashti was born, her Father knew of the news but would only meet each other 3 times in all of her life. Each time leaving a worst taste in her mouth. But Ashti loved and adored her Mamae and Rhiannon was the best mother for her daughter.
Ashti'ana loved hearing about the stories told by the hearth and history the Keeper would teach. She wanted that to be her role in the clan- Hearthmaster. She was so excited to start her apprenticeship under her hahren but the dream is quickly halted after manifestation of her magic. The clan had been desperate for a First for a long time and Ashti'ana's powers manifesting were seen as a great boon. In hindsight, the clan was probably watching and wait for her power to arrive given who her father was. Nonetheless, Ashti'ana was ushered into apprenticeship under Keeper Istimaethoriel. With her magic manifesting came with a near obsession with the fade and the being living there. Ashti tried for so long to have questions answered only to be met with half-answers and even being dissuaded from the topic entirely by the Keeper (believing even talking about the fade invited demons closer). So she learned to keep her curiosities secret.
Into her teens and young adulthood, Ashti excelled and overcame the trials of her magic gaining great respect from the clan. And showing promise as a good future keeper. But internally, she felt weighed down by the pressure and expectations of the clan. She thought it could have been lifted a little when a younger boy showed signs of magic, quickly become the Second, but not even that allevated the anxiety manifesting. Because of this Ashti kept to herself most days. While she still loved the clan, it was a lot most days. But still, the nighttime eating and storytelling around the hearth was her favorite time of day. So much that she chose Sylaise mark as her vallaslin, hoping to be like the welcoming warmth like the hearth to her clan.
Inquisition:
Welp this is her worst nightmare lol! Ashti'ana was always overwhelmed by the thought of leading the clan one day. And here she is at the head of an organization relying on her to lead against a would be god. But making smaller and bigger decisions in days at Haven quickly built her confidence in herself.
As the events come up, Ashti tackles them like she did with anything else in her life: with feverish study! Anything she was ignorant of she studied it too death. Anything that the Skyhold's library couldn't supply she immediately requested books or tutors. For example, Ashti was completely clueless to The Game and Orlais in general. The months ahead of the ball, Ashti spent most of her off time studying the history and even native language (French). She took manners and dancing lessons from Josie and Leliana, respectively.
Being around so many different people and perspectives really opened her eyes to how the world could be so different.
Relationships (most notable ones):
Cassandra: as they both grew together as mentor and friend (and closed a lot of cultural rifts made by prior gnorance on both sides)
Varric: He showed showed how vital it is to have a steady and calm presence. How it is to just have a FRIEND. Heâs the first once to actually ask how Ashti is handling all this bizarre events.
Dorian: He is her platonic soulmate. Different in every conceivable way (Tevinter Magister - Dalish Elf, lived in obnoxious wealth - lived off the land in a lot of fear, etc) Yet They have much the same humor, love the theory of magic often having debates and discussion, helped and come to accept all deepest parts of the other with no objection.
Solas: Ashtiâana for the first time in her life was accepted wholely and genuinely by another person. Someone she loved her whole body and mind, and that lived her right back equally.

This is for my inky Ashtiâana Lavellan; female mage, romancing Solas (so original lol). She the only one Iâve put a lot of thought into and a lot of this is personal hc about the dynamics of Clan Lavellan.
To Ashtiâana, family is the people and community you surround yourself with. She as raised by her clan as a community but felt detached before teenhood bc of the pressures she felt as needing to be the first. The conclave was the first time Ashtiâana ever went out of the clan on her own and it terrified her; bc of the unknown and personal troubles. But the people sheâs found finally filled that lack of warmth she had since she was young. She counts many of the Inner Circle as her absolute friends and family. Most importantly 1. Dorian, her best friend and constant source of support for each other. 2. Cassandra, as they both grew together as mentor and friend (and closed a lot of cultural rifts made by ignorance). 3 Varric, as pillar of understanding and insight into herself (he was the first to ask how SHE was doing and helped immensely with personal struggles).
And ofc Solas, first he was guide and seemed to be full of endless wisdom. He challenged her beliefs and she challenged his âone box fits allâ view of the world. He was the first to ever positively encourage her utter fascination and curiosity of fade and the world that existed before. She could be her unapologetic herself around him and faced no judgment for it.
Her ânuclearâ family consists of her Mamae, Rhiannon Lavellan, one of the Halla keepers of the clan, and her Father, Keeper Coop (a nickname), Keeper of another clan. She was raised by her mother and rest of the clan and has only met her father 3 times; all 3 times were at the annual âArlathvhenâ meeting that happens every 10 years. (1st, she under 2 years old and didnât remember him, 2nd, she was 11 and didnât like him very much, 3rd, she was 21 and was civil with him but feels no attachment)
In general, she views the entirety of her clan as her family as I imagine all the adults raise all the children despite blood ties. But even surrounded by the love of the Clan, she couldnât help but feel immense pressure from the clan since her discovered her magic at a young age (as the clan hasnât had a mage birth in while and desperately needed a first to raise). Pressure just kept growing for years so much that Ashtiâana took more comfort being away firm everyone than being with them. She felt sheâd couldnât fail in fear of disappointing everyone.
Ashtiâana is very close to her mother tho and loves her whole heartedly. So much that it broke her heart to leave the clan for the conclave when her motherâs health had been steadily declining for a while. But Ashtiâana still went to the conclave with the idea that sheâd be back in a couple months at most.
Ofc, the plot happens and she wouldnât be able to see her mom in person for another year. Both due to duty and shame because of her now barefaced.
In 9:42 Dragon, the Inquisition is disbanded and Ashtiâana Lavellan is practically relived of her duties, but still kept in close contact for updates and orders. She did go back to to the clan one last time to truly check in her mother. Only to be met with a stranger as the illness fully taken Rhiannonâs mind:
-Her mother is often confused and easily distressed when sheâs told the world in different than she thinks.
-Rhiannon thinks she back to being a young adult thats about to have a child or has a young child somewhere
-she doesnât recognize Ashtiâana as an adult being the child or who Ashtiâana is. At most Rhiannon recognizes her as being a nice lady that visits on occasion
Ashtiâana visits a couple times a year at the section of the city her clan occupies in Wycome. Itâs to leave copies of Lavellanâs findings in her travels (songs, book, journals, maps etc) and to check on her mother. Ashtiâana only keeps in consistent contact with the Keeper as theyâre like another parent to her.
Kicking it off fresh and good with some post in chronological order
Protagonist #1 is Hero of Ferelden, referred to as Warden-Commander Cousland in the order, and Her Majesty Queen Moira Theirin.

Backstory: Growing up noble was very limiting for her as a child. Her Mother expected her to be the Lady she was born to be. Moira couldn't disagree more. She'd sneak off to hide from Mother in abandoned places of the castle or watch the guards train. Years go by and Moira eventually sits in her all her "lady classes" in exchange of letting her train as a rouge. And what a master she turned out to be in both.
After game: Once she becomes queen, she assists Alistair into understand all that goes on in the court. Along the way she personally dispatches would be assassins that look to harm her king and husband. But more often than not, she's away from court to direct wardens as Warden-Commander.
Canon divergence:
-Two years after defeating the archdemon, she successfully birthed a baby boy named Duncan Bryce Theirin, named after the important men of her and Alistairâs lives, in 9:34 Dragon. She left for her mission when the Prince was just a few months old.
-Moira returned from curing the calling after the events of Inquisition but before trespasser. In finding the cure, she lost an eye and started to grey prematurely in her 30s.
-She ignores all letters and orders from Weisshaupt, planning on fully committing to her country and family after missing almost ten years of her sons life.
