For context, the 2022 prompt was “På kanten” (On edge). This was my interpretation of the assignment:

It’s very old and I am no longer super proud of it but that just shows improvement xD

I chose to use a series of canvases to paint backgrounds for an animation I then created digitally. I don’t remember if I was still on FlipaClip here or if I had moved over to procreate, but that was about the gist of it.

I of course don’t know which prompts will come in the future and am not sure about the current prompts, but my main recommendation is creating something in a medium that you enjoy, and feel like you can express yourself fully using. For me that happened to be showing off my animation skills as well as my love for placing colours on a canvas to create mood. Really, just remember to not lose yourself in the process of creation!

Adopted this cactus from somebody who could no longer care for it. Last year it budded but never flowered. This year it has now flowered. I’m sobbing I’m a proud parent I’m so happy.

Hey there…Non transformers related art incoming.

Current project in art class right niw — an art contest with the theme being “Fabric”. Making a layered fabric work on a 80x100 frame of Venus de Milo with red yard strewn across it. This is my current progress!!

(All fabric is second hand <3 Reduce, reuse, recycle everybody.)
