The plan remains to just repost things I especially like and any occasional new stuff that I might do. So the gif that follows is "new" even though it relies on much of the old stuff that I have. The thing that motivated me to do this one was after seeing some of the excellent blood effects I've see done by AI. That attempt was largely unsuccessful. The squirting effects of blood from a bullet hole which AI is able to do looks great and is something I just can't do as effectively in a gif.

Howdy to you all. Well, when a person gets tired of seeing his own stuff over and over again, it tells him something. That's how it's gotten with me. Back when I started posting things here at tumblr I never would have thought that the number would get up to 7979. But yeah, that's what it tells me as of today. Still hard to believe. And I'll bet only one or two hundred are "original." Repeat after repeat. So for an indefinite period I'm only going to occasionally repost the few things I see and especially like. Sure, at some point I might re-edit something enough to show it again, but I'm not expecting that to be often or ever. In the meantime, I sincerely hope that all of you who I follow will continue sharing your material. I love seeing what you show us and I'll continue to enjoy looking at those.

Since any new posts will appear above this one, they will start being reposts as opposed to my own stuff. And if I decide to resume posting my own material at some point, it'll be obvious.

Leadville. Cattle country in one direction and desolation in the other. And here in town? A few families on one side and mostly debauchery and violence on the other. Of course this is fantasy. It's 1884 and, being fantasy, anything goes. So stretch your imagination a little and imagine how it might have been.

The sheriff, after explaining that all he can do is try keeping the peace in Leadville, suggests that they try other means.

"Sure, I can track 'em down so long as I can get some leads from someone in one of the saloons. But now you'll need to tell me what ya want done with the body." Billy, The rancher's son, speaks up before his father has a chance to speak. "Please, pa, tell 'em to bring the varmint back here. I wanna see whoever it is that stole my horse." "Okay, son, I guess yer old enough to start see'n things like that. This is violent territory and you'll be see'n plenty of it before long anyway."

"Okay, it's agreed then, replies Snipe. And when I return a kill to the man who hires me, I let them keep his gear as well. And what ya do with the body ain't no concern to me so long as I get paid."

This is the "other" side of Leadville. Land too arid for cattle. That's why all the ranch lands stretch out in the other direction. But that faint trail you see out there is used sometimes. The Wells Fargo stage once a week and a rider now and then.
