no somebody bless us with the characters being Bad Students. Annabeth who should have a 4.0 gpa but she can never focus in tests and although all her teachers love her, they can't help but wonder if she's cheating because. how else can she write such brilliant essays and turn in such amazing projects but still get a sixty percent on the test? thalia who attends high school for exactly One Year and pisses off all the teachers, one of them tells her she'll be a dropout someday and she never comes back. leo who was doing college-level geometry at eight years old but the teachers hate him because he can't sit still. and percy. who has been expelled from every single school since he was seven years old. who feels soooo bad every single time because he knows this means months of him and his mom struggling to find a good school that will take him for next year, he knows this means he is a Disappointment, and he really really really wants to go to college because. that was something his mom never got to do! and she s worked so hard to get him here! but also. he's juggling Kronos and emotional drama and a whole lot of other traumatizing shit and he almost flunks freshman year. gets caught cheating off rachel's test. never shows up to school on time. has to skip class every once in awhile so he can help with battles. can't help but feel like a Failure and still there's just. nothing he can do.

our favorite characters who are so bloody fucking brilliant strategists and mathematicians and sharp-minded and are dealing with a whole lot but pull out of high school barely earning that diploma just eager to Get Out. because ADHD and dyslexia and the Wars and the System. anyways
