Celebrity mountain lion P-22 passed away in December, and Los Angeles hasn't forgotten his legacy. Quite the opposite: a wildlife bridge is being built, museum exhibits have been updated, and murals, statues and the like have been placed all over the city. Although he didn't know it, this city cat surrounded by highways set LA on a better path to understand him and his kind. For The New York Times.
