My March 2022 Makeup Wishlist (top 15 products I wanna try)
Hello people of Tumblr! Long time no speak.. I kinda abandoned this blog because of my hectic schedule and a lot of things happening since I started it (for one, a global pandemic… for two, graduation from college and going to do my masters… and for three, my internship taking up so much of my time), but I thought I would come back for a bit since I finally got a day off without stressing over other work I needed to do… so here is a fun little post about 20 makeup products I really want to try and why, let’s get started:
1. Mac Macstack Mascara
Ok so I never would have thought I’m including a product from Mac in here but here we are… I’m usually never interested in Mac but seeing it go viral on TikTok and how much volume it gives people, I really wanted to try it. It comes with a mega and micro brush, but the mega one fits my needs when it comes to a mascara more, which is volume, since I already have naturally long lashes. It is $28 at Ulta
2. Makeup by Mario Soft Pop Powder Blush
https://www.sephora.com/product/makeup-by-mario-soft-pop-powder-blush-P472325?skuId=2449742
(Specifically in the shades Mellow Mauve, Creamy Peach, and Desert Rose)
Ok, so I already own the Makeup by Mario bronzer that comes in the exact same packaging (see link above), and I really enjoy it, so smooth and blendable and can last a really long time. So, the blushes have intrigued me and I have heard nothing but good things about them (again on TikTok, it will be a common theme here with what I want.. TikTok is a huge influence). They are $24 at Sephora.
3. Nars Light Reflecting Foundation
Another one bites the dust with products TikTok inspired me to get, but this one in particular is because of Mikayla. This foundation looks so beautiful on her skin and all the claims/traits of this one is just the kinds of foundations I’m looking for and I am very picky with foundation (you’ll see not a lot of foundations make this list, I’m very selective with that category). It costs $49 at both Sephora and Ulta.
4. Fenty Beauty Bright Fix Eye Brightner Concealer
https://www.sephora.com/product/fenty-beauty-rihanna-bright-fix-eye-brightener-concealer-P472161
(Specifically in the shades Butter, Melon, Crepe, and Seashell)
I feel like a broken record but again this was inspired by TikTok, I have been looking for a good brightening concealer, since I tried the LA Girl one and it didn’t work out for me because the shade was too orange. So this one I have seen brightens a lot, so I am curious to try it. It costs $26 at Sephora & now at Ulta.
5. Elf Cosmetics Power Grip Primer
Ok, so moving on to something drugstore. I am legit on the hunt for an amazing gripping primer that really works… I have tried the mint melt one from Elf and it’s too sticky and annoying but it doesn’t work super well, The milk one is ok but not worth the price, and I have a new one from NYX (the plump right back primer serum) which I really think has won of the ones I have tried so far. This one I feel like might be better than those and I have heard it is better than the Milk one so I am intrigued to try it. It’s also pretty affordable compared to the Milk so I’m super curious. This costs $10 at Ulta.
6. Tower 28 ShineOn Milky Lip Jelly Gloss
https://www.sephora.com/product/tower-28-shineon-milky-lip-jelly-P462895
(Specifically in the shades Oat, Cashew, and Pistachio)
These are again another example of a TikTok viral product that I really want to try. I have heard amazing things about these glosses and this brand as a whole, which both I have never tried, so I am super curious to see if I will like them, especially because I’m a gloss fiend (I kinda wanna do a rating glosses post if you guys like that idea because I love trying different glosses and reviewing them). These glosses cost $15 each at Sephora.
7. Patrick Ta Major Sculpt Crème Contour and Powder Bronzer Duo
(Shade: She’s Statuesque)
Ok, so 1. I only own one product from Patrick Ta which is their cream and powder blush duo and I really want to try more from the brand because I love that blush duo so much; 2. Naturally I want to try the bronzer duo because I have heard it’s similar formula wise to the blushes so I know I will really enjoy them. Also, this color is pretty light but it looks like a good enough shade for me to contour with. It’s also different from the bronzers I own, which are more like the 2nd lightest shade She’s Sculpted. The duo costs $38 at Sephora.
8. Rare Beauty Lip Soufflé Matte Cream Lipstick
https://www.sephora.com/product/rare-beauty-by-selena-gomez-lip-souffle-matte-cream-lipstick-P87987897?skuId=2362234
(Specifically the shades Fearless, Courage, and Thrilling)
Ok, so the reason I want these is a bit different from just seeing it on TikTok. I am a big liquid lipstick hater so you are probably thinking why these. Well, I have tried them at Sephora and they have been super comfortable and really nice for me, they have also lasted pretty nicely under a mask. So, I kinda wanna take the plunge and buy a full size one. They are $20 at Sephora.
9. Kosas Revealer Skin-Improving Foundation
Ok, so this is another TikTok foundation pick that I really was intrigued by. It has all the things I look for in a foundation: medium coverage (usually I got for light to medium, no full), natural finish (my favorite type of finish… but I also take glowy foundations too), hydrating (always… no matte for me), and has SPF 25 (this is not a must but a plus). It also really good ingredients that I really like such as Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide. It costs $42 at Sephora.
10. Milani Color Fetish Matte Lipsticks (Nudes)
https://www.ulta.com/p/color-fetish-matte-nudes-collection-pimprod2025973?sku=2581811
Milani Color Fetish Matte Lipstick - The Nudes Collection is an ultra-creamy, velvet-matte lipstick in a curated range of nudes designed to
(Specifically the shades Secret, Pleasure, Tease, and Passion)
Another TikTok makes me want to get these. The nudes in this collection are really beautiful and I have heard they are very comfortable matte lipsticks so I am dying to try them. Milani makes pretty good lip products (specifically their lipsticks are really nice) so I have high hopes. These are $8.99 each at Ulta.
11. Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder
(Specifically in the shade fair)
So, this powder is a cult classic on the internet and I have never ever tried it because it’s so expensive and it’s Charlotte Tilbury so ofc it’s expensive. Like I have had this on my wishlist forever and I cannot bring myself to pull the plug and do it. I have seen so many people rave about it and it just hurts my soul bc I want it so bad. It costs $45 at Sephora.
12. NYX This is Juice Hydrating Lip Gloss
https://www.ulta.com/p/this-juice-gloss-hydrating-lip-gloss-pimprod2029856
Introducing NYX Professional Makeup electrolyte-infused lip gloss! Drench your lips with 5 lip-loving oils that smell as good as they look.
(Specifically in the shades Coconut Chill, Guava Snap, Passion Fruit Snatch, Pomegranate Clout, and Watermelon Sugar)
Again, this one is a TikTok find and also a gloss fiend want. I love trying different lip glosses and lip oils and I have heard amazing things about this one and it’s pretty affordable so I am intrigued. It was part of the same collection as my beloved plump it back serum so I have a good feeling. They cost $8 at Ulta.
13. Leía Ultraflesh Blender
This makeup applicator from Leia has legit gone viral and it blends makeup super well I’ve seen. The main draw from this for me is that it doesn’t waste as much product as a sponge does. I saw Theresa is Dead review it and that review sold me, but the cost of it is making me hesitate a bit. It costs $59 on Leia’s website.
14. Glamlite Ice Cream Dream Palette
So I have already tried the Glamlite x Mikayla palette and I really love the quality of the shadows so this palette is absolutely stunning. The pastels I have heard are so pigmented that they work on deeper skin, which is amazing for me who is Caspar the friendly ghost so they’ll definitely show up on me hehe. It costs $45 on the Glamlite website.
15. Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder
https://www.sephora.com/product/P390722?skuId=1661461
(Specifically the shades Original Mousseline Pastel, Satin Blanc, or Voile Rosé)
Ok, so I saved the most expensive one for last because why not? This powder is highly raved about because of how brightening it is and smooth as well. I have never seen anyone not love this powder but it is extremely expensive for a setting powder, idk if I could ever justify it (maybe on sale?). The price is $58 at Sephora.
Alright that is it! Tell me in the comments down below what makeup products are in your wishlist? Also, have you tried any of the products I mentioned? Did you like them? Lemme know! See you on the next one, bye 😘
