If you had any headcanons on Claude Merle. Or just what ya think about him as an individual. Caging up like a birdie? I hope not but I’ve seen stuff about that topic recently and yikes. I may like him or have a small crush on him but I’d never wanna be caged just like a animal. Doesn’t seem right but oh well!

I mean i’ve read somewhere that he’s borderline yandere but not? Like the type that’s not outwardly obsessive but thoughts of his love interest would be in the back of his mind if he falls in love. I always saw him as very stoic, a man of few words and truthfully blunt. I feel like the whole caging like a bird narrative must’ve came from somewhere but idk, in my personal MDHM world I can’t see him doing that. Or who knows, maybe his fear of losing his family (like Alan and his mom etc) would let him have those thoughts and urges, but I feel like he’s have to be pushed to his limits/ be mentally unstable for him to reach that point! So kinda like a “Bad Ending” AU!

the whole background of this drawing (bc 99.9% of my drawings always have a story behind it) is that Gizmo stopped my Raven’s night to get away from Lilith and it so happened to be V-day (this was suppose to be a valentines post el o el) and Raven was having her “me time” when Gizmo came over. Raven offers Gizmo to sleep on her bed instead of the usual couch since I see her as the type to have a spa day for valentine’s day and when she’s checking in on Gizmo and right when she’s about to get up and leave he asks her to stay (he thinks she smells good and also wants company but would never admit that)

when you finally stand up to him, it hits a nerve he didn’t expect to have exposed. he masks it with sarcasm in the moment, maybe even acts relieved when you leave, but the truth is it unsettles him deeply. he spends his time testing people's boundaries and expecting them to either tolerate his behavior or fight back temporarily before things return to normal. you choosing to walk away, and succeeding, forces him to confront the fact that his behavior cost him someone he cared about more than he admitted. after the transfer, he keeps tabs quietly. nothing obvious or dramatic, just asking casual questions to mutual acquaintances from the stores. there are nights when he ends up outside your apartment, standing there longer than he should, rehearsing what he’d say if he knocked. an apology sits heavy in his chest, tangled with pride and fear of rejection. he never knocks. he convinces himself it’s too late, that you are better off without him, and leaves before he can change his mind. losing you like that becomes one of those quiet regrets he carries with him, proof that sometimes his behavior doesn’t protect him… it just pushes people away </3
