I studied it in gender studies and I had to do extensive research on it for a paper so i talked to economics lecturers, history lec (they were all men earning a lot of money) and they agreed it exists and showed me this in statistics, data and the economics lecturer even told how much more he gets paid then the female lecturer teaching the same thing. It exists, I urge you to read articles that say it does and look at the stats. Even if just to make your argument better. Look at full picture.
