I keep thinking about genderqueer/genderfluid sirius black and like… the long hair, a higher pitched voice, heels cause you cant tell me teenage sirius black in the seventies wasnt wearing gogo boots and bellbottoms every chance they got — and like the juxtaposition to james who is honestly like… as cis as they come. Last night, My friend @squippites , had informed me of these be more chill sites for book, that is long gone to time but can be accessed via the Wayback machine, these sites were:

these are all the sites and all are .com-based if you wish to find them and take a deep dive yourself, there's mostly info about squips, which we can take as probably cannon considering it was by the books creator, here are some of the amazing things these sites had shown. All of the voices the squip had/ the squip company was trying to get

The "squip cop" button, Im still trying to find out how you were meant to obtain this button as the site said you could, but a lot of the images links were broken

the "squiptionary" which has all of these great words that were made up for squips, including squiptes, squiple is my favourite though

I don’t have children so take this with a grain of salt but I hate when you can tell people like the concept of their children more than their well-being. Parents like the concept of an all-beige nursery that’s photogenic more than they care about the development of their kid’s brain. They like the concept of a cutely dressed kid in designer clothes more than they care about their comfort and personal desires. They like the concept of a child who never eats poorly more than they care about the happiness that can come from a child eating some candy now and then. People need to stop treating their kids like little dolls

Uh, I have kids, and so I've spent a lot of time around kids and around other parents, and you are very much on to something.

Whether they have kids because they felt like they needed to or because they wanted an heir or whatever, they don't actually want to hang out with developing humans. They want the idea of kids. They want the Christmas card and the pictures on the desk and the Instagram picture.

They don't want the baby screaming for 5 hours straight because it's too cold out to walk to the store and get more baby ibuprofen for the ear infection on Friday night and your partner has the car. They don't get that the baby is crying because she's literally never hurt worse than this in her tiny life, and they don't get that their toddler has never been sadder than when her favorite toy broke, and that she really didn't know she would break it if she did the thing she just did. That the 4-year-old is crying because the world is too big and too overwhelming and she has no control over where she goes or what she does most of the time, and that the 14-year-old isn't telling them anything about her life because they told her ten years ago to shut up or they'd give her something worth crying about, so she knows they don't value her real feelings, only the ones she's supposed to have.

And they don't want to get any of it. And it fucking sucks that people who don't actually WANT kids feel like they have to have them, or have them to have something smaller than themselves to bully, or have kids as a status symbol. It all just blows, and mostly because:

Kids are people, and most people are actually pretty fucking rad, if given the opportunity to be.

There are a lot of good parents out there, and then there are the parents who had kids because they thought they had to, or wanted someone to boss around, or whatever. And like... even if you thought you wanted kids, you can quickly find out that it actually blows to be a parent in a nuclear family setup, and get really burned out on being a parent. Kids are much better raised by an extended family. That's how we're wired. And like... we broke it. We broke it, and it breaks parents and it hurts kids.

There is no greater honor then being with a kid in those little moments. When they are scared or figuring something out. Being able to be there when they fall and are hysterical because that fall is, in the moment, the end of the world and everything is pain. Being there to help explain that it doesn’t have to be scary, that the blood is actually good, it means their heart is really strong and is sending the blood to make sure the booboo stops hurting and that’s the blood you feel when your booboos are throbbing, and isn’t that cool?

oh, and working with kids when they have questions like, why is this person different? And not hushing them and telling them not to be rude but instead saying, isn’t that interesting that we all have differences? Some of our friends have wheelchairs or different voices or they see the world differently, like friends who hide under the table at lunch, because they feel safer under there.

Childcare is one of my passions. Idk this post is all over cause I’m at work. But thank you OP and vaspider.

Also, do not walk close to walls. It will be easier for someone so walk past you and push you against it or corner you.

If your gut is telling you to cross the street or change your path, do it. Don’t risk it. Your body knows.

If you can, buy a large umbrella and walk holding it. Studies say that predators are less likely to attempt an attack on someone that could fight back. Keys around your knuckles is fine but you’ll need to get very close to do damage. Umbrellas are more precise.

Avoid wearing headphones if you are alone on an empty street. Look aware.

Again: Stay. Away. From. Walls.

Entering an uber alone? Call your father (or anyone you trust) and say “hey dad! Yep, I’m almost there, I’m sending you the route.” outloud. Then proceed to send them the route so they can follow the uber drive. This will most likely intimidate the predator.

If you see someone in an uncomfortable or possibly dangerous situation, walk up to them and say “Betty, oh my god, I haven’t seen you in so long!”. If she gets slightly confused, you can whisper and let her know you’re trying to help and that she should follow along. Walk together to another station or away from where you are. The man will most likely not follow. I have done this one 2 times and can be very helpful.

If you are unsure she needs help, you can pass her a note saying something like “hey, I noticed this man beside you is making you uncomfortable. If you’d like help, fake a sneeze right now and I will come up to you and pretend we are friends.” This is a long note, but its an example. Be discrete. If she follows along, proceed with the previous tip. This is helpful when you’re in a crowded train and you notice harassment.

Help your sisters. Trust them. Trust yourself. Be safe.

Just saw a video explaining why putting a key between each finger is more likely to hurt you than them (the keys will just get pushed back into your knuckles). A better way to hold them is to get your longest key and just clench your hand around it, like you’re making a fist. That’ll give you a lot more force and means you can use them in more scenarios (if someone grabs you from behind, you can use the key this way)

How to tell if your drink has been spiked:

1: if you’re reading a book with a large number of pages, you know, those BIG ONES, or with the hard cover, don’t leave it at home and never bring outside. I’m not saying to bring it everywhere, but if you are going to any possible dangerous places alone, bring them, in a purse or even by hand (to show it to everyone). Believe me, if you hit someone with it, it will hurt them!!

I was thinking about this post again and how people say we need to teach our boys and men to be better. So if you, like me, are a guy who’s horrified by everything you’ve just read, heres some things i was taught to make the women (and everyone else!) around you feel safer

1. If you’re on a dark and quiet street, stay out of other peoples personal space. If you have to pass someone, ideally cross the road to do so but if you can’t, give them a wide berth. (think keeping 6 feet apart from COVID regulations) If you’re coming up behind someone, make some kind of noise so you don’t accidentally sneak up on them. Cough or talk on the phone.

2. Don’t accidentally follow people. If you’ve noticed you’ve made the same few turns as someone, they probably have as well. Take a detour or cross the road. If you come out of somewhere like a bus stop with a few other people, walk quickly so you get in front of them.

3. Where possible, don’t approach random women for help. This is a known kidnapping technique. Approach a friendly looking man or call someone you know/emergency services.

4. Get Consent. There is no situation where you are entitled to someone else’s body. To elaborate on this, you need Enthusiastic consent. If she says yes but shes drunk, or you had to guilt her into it, or she said it reluctantly, or her body language says no, then that’s not consent. This concept applies to plenty of nonsexual situations as well.

5. Look after your female friends. Offer to walk them home. You may not think you can do a lot but another person being there could be enough to put off a would be attacker (I’m a massive softie but im sure my 6'2" silhouette would make someone think before messing with my 5'7" friend) Get in the habit of asking them to text you when they get home safe and other similar measures like location sharing if they are comfortable with that.

6. Be patient and understanding of the things women have to do to stay safe. Don’t be offended if your date has to send a photo of you/your license plates to her friend. Don’t complain that your friend always wants you to walk her home. An inconvenience to you could mean life or death to her. Take your friends’ concerns seriously. If they tell you they feel unsafe they probably are and you should do what you can to get them out of that situration

7. Finally, read all the self defence tips above and take them seriously. Your maleness does not make you immune to these kind of attacks, even if they are mainly targetted at women. It never hurts to have a plan to keep yourself and those around you safe.

I hope this was helpful, and keep in mind these tips could apply to all genders and orientations, even though i’ve aimed it at straight men.

Crazy PLL Original Sin Theory #2

So, one of my biggest questions going into this show was how they were going to explain this villain going be "A". Like, it's not as if Millwood is on the complete other side of the country. It's literally 30 minutes down the road from Rosewood. Yes, I understand it's probably supposed to stand for Angela. But, you expect me to believe that not a single person will think it's strange that when this all comes out into the open that this Masked Man who has been terrorizing this young group of girls is using the same exact moniker as hooded/coated/uber variety from down the road, that no one is going to find that strange?

So. I wanted there to be some type of explanation, though I didn't want to get my hopes up.

Angela Water's mom, Rose was in Radley Sanitorium from very early 2000 to when it closed down (around 2012) before being released. Girl was there for the entire saga: Cece/Charles, Bethany Young, Marion Cavenaugh's death, the 10,000 breakouts, Jessica DiLaurentis's visits, Mona's stay after the first "A" reveal, Spencer's psychotic break after Toby's supposed death, Aria's stint as a candy striper, Mona going back after confessing to shooting Wilden.

Goodness.

If she's still alive and well, she literally got an entire play by play on masterpiecing gaslighting, gatekeeping and girlbossing from the queen of the alphabet herself, Mona Vanderwaal. I wouldn't be displeased if this was how they chose to explain this part of the story.

PLL: Original Sin theory - Kelly is obsessed with Imogen

Ok so i’ll preface this by saying that I believe the show is telling the truth in showing that Karen is dead and Kelly is living, as pll fans we are obviously honed in on twin shenanigans and having them pull an Ali/Courtney situation just feels way too obvious to me. (Also I don’t think this theory will stand up past like probably episode 4 but still)

From what we’ve seen, Karen is more of an outright, mean girl type whereas Kelly is a more quiet and sinister type of bitch. Where Karen has shown to curse people out and cause trouble blatantly, Kelly causes issues in a more sneaky underhanded way that she can almost play off as accidental but is clearly more calculated. (Like the Carrie plan being her idea)

In the party flashbacks we see that Imogen clearly has a closer bond with Karen than she does Kelly - obviously editing plays as part as it’s a pain to get both “twins” on screen at the same time but it’s Karen who rushes into Imogens’ arms, Karen who’s cheek she kisses and Karen who she continues to cling to and address for the most part as the scene goes on while Kelly gets an air kiss, a vague greeting and a few brief shared looks/touches.

It’s also shown later on that Kelly was basically an outsider in their friendship, whilst looking at a picture of the three of them we see Imogen and Karen pressed close and Kelly off to the side - alone- like a third wheel. Maybe she was jealous of the bond between them and tired of feeling like she was second best to her sister and wanted to make a change.

When Kelly tells her sister what happened between Imogen and Greg, the dialogue is specifically withheld from the viewers, perhaps Kelly was over exaggerating the story in order to cause a rift in their friendship. If she thought that there was no chance Imogen would ever like her as much as she liked Karen then maybe she thought the easiest thing to do was to just divide them entirely. (Personally I think she didn’t intend for them to have such a long-standing fall out and she probably believed they would resume their friendship soon enough but was maybe hoping they wouldn’t be quite as close - obviously Imogens’ pregnancy was an unexpected wrench in the plan as Karen used it as ammunition to fuel her new vendetta.)

Now that Karen has caused such a big issue with Imogen, Kelly knows there’s no way to rekindle the situation and resigns herself to having lost Imogen but at least can relish in the fact that she doesn’t have to compete for her attention with her sister anymore. Imogen becoming an outsider also plays into her hands as now she has zero competition for her friendship, even though she can’t have her - she doesn’t want anyone else too either. When she sees Imogen befriending the other girls she becomes sort of bitter and nasty and sides with Karen in order to fuck her over which is why she’s so gleeful about the Carrie plan, the chance to turn Imogen back into an outsider is exactly what she wants since she believes she can never have her to herself.

Flash to Karen’s death, she now realises she has an opportunity to change things up, I think Kelly sees how she can clear Imogen’s name in and save her from her fathers wrath in order to get back into her good books and also use this as an excuse to become close friends again, closer than before even since Karen is no longer around to interfere. Kelly reaching out to invite her to the funeral feels like an olive branch and then the apologising on the swings shows she’s succeeding at least partially in getting Imogen back on side. I don’t imagine it will last long as the cracks will start to appear and maybe she’ll become too possessive or something but temporarily Kelly will feel like she’s on track to being Imogen’s best friend, the only problem now being the other girls being “in her way”.

I’ll be reading the entire thing when I’m done with the show cause I’m trying to get as few spoilers as possible, but I agree with the headline so we’re saving this!

Theory time. 🧐🧵

Kelly is sneaky as hell and unhinged. Karen was the loudmouth, but Kelly is absolutely more sinister. She was the quieter one so easily overlooked in comparison to Karen. Overlooking Kelly is a dangerous mistake.

Karen had a life. Kelly comes off as “just there.” She probably had a lot of time to herself whenever Karen was out with her friends and boyfriend. During that time, I think she did some digging into their family history.

I think the twins’ mom is Angela’s sister. Making Angela their aunt. We know Angela’s mom had some type of mental issues. That can be hereditary.

I mention hereditary, because it’s been clear from jump that Mrs. Beasley is a bit off. So, Kelly’s “research” into her family history led her to Angela and that led her to A. She probably found A in some type of Radley Sanitarium.

Angela was obsessed with reading the Scarlet Letter. I think she had a child. I think Davie and the others judged her over it. Well, Davie judged. They followed her lead. They were all friends at some point.

That’s why Davie screamed when she saw Angela was going to jump. She screamed the loudest. It’s also why Davie was so determined to be there for her daughter now that she’s a pregnant teen.

So, I think A is Angela’s child. I think she was forced to give him up at some point and it fucked with her mentally. It’s probably why Sidney said there were things they couldn’t help her with.

Are you guys keeping up? Angela is Mrs. Beasley’s sister. Angela is the twins’ aunt. A is Angela’s child. A is the twins’ cousin. Kelly found A in a nut house…my money is on Radley Sanitarium.

Kelly built a bond with her crazy cousin, A. Kelly feels like she can relate to her cousin. They’ve both been discarded. They’ve both been robbed of the life they think they deserved.

Kelly comes off as extremely protective of her sister, but she’s really extremely JEALOUS of Karen. Kelly knew Imogen didn’t kiss Greg. She planted that seed in Karen’s head on purpose.

Karen was genuinely shocked at the girls accusing her of setting them up, because she really didn’t do any of it. Kelly did…with the help of her cousin.

In detention, Noa says Karen probably got her sister to swap her pee. That’s a huge hint at how everyone views the dynamic of Karen and Kelly. EVERYONE thinks Karen is the mastermind to everything and Kelly is the puppet.

Well, everyone has it twisted. Kelly has always been the mentally stronger twin. She’s been showing us throughout each of the first three episodes. She’s a manipulative, evil little cunt. She gets a kick out of seeing Karen hurt.

Kelly lied to Karen about Imogen. Kelly was in the office when she saw Noa do her drug test and she heard them talk about her drug test schedule. Kelly heard Karen bitching about ballet.

Kelly was there when she heard Imogen say she would be running against Karen. Kelly orchestrated every single thing that happened to Karen and made it look like it was the girls coming after her. 6 birds, 1 stone.

I’m also pretty sure Kelly had Karen give that flyer to Davie. Bottom line, Kelly and her cousin are A. At some point we’ll learn Mrs. Beasley’s maiden name is Waters and she’s the older sister of Angela.

All of this is literally so possible??? I thought for sure Kelly was the dead one but this is also insanely possible???

ENDGAME THEORY: 🧵😱😭

Geezus. This shit is getting good. This 🅰️ is really sick and cutting DEEP. Tabby and Imogen being the ones who were raped was calculated. This rapist isn’t terrorizing ALL high school girls.

Imogen is the daughter of Davie. Davie was the leader who made the decision to ignore Angela after she’d been raped and needed help.

Tabby is the daughter of Sidney. Sidney made the decision to turn away from Angela, even as she begged for help on her hands and knees.

Imogen and Tabby were raped for the sins of their mothers. 🅰️ wants the mothers to have to deal with the burden and trauma of knowing their daughters were violated and no one helped them either. Like Angela…

KAREN died for more than one reason. The main one being, because she’s the daughter of Sheriff Beasley. Sheriff Beasley raped Angela. Ultimately, she killed herself, because of what HE did to her.

I initially thought Karen died, because she was a bully and 🅰️ hates bullies. That was only the surface though. The deeper reason was because of who her father is.

🅰️ manipulated Kelly and that’s what has added to her sorrow. 🅰️ is the one who suggested the Carrie scenario. 🅰️ wanted to be certain to get Karen up on that level. He needed Karen to die the same way as Angela. Symbolism.

Now, Sheriff Beasley has to deal with the agony of knowing his daughter died in the exact same way as his rape victim.

Kelly thinks 🅰️ has been helping her and has her best interest. That’s why he switched up his appearance when threatening her in the theater. If she were really Kelly he didn’t want to risk losing her trust and loyalty to 🅰️.

Are you guys keeping up?? It’s getting wild. 😭 This 🅰️ has the strategic planning capabilities of a fucking General Officer in the military.

Kelly is this season’s Mona. Mona was manipulated by CeCe/Ali. Remember the famous, “I did everything you asked me to”…?

It’s possible that this mystery, 6th “A. Waters” was pregnant by her rapist, Sheriff Beasley. I just know he’s related to the twins by blood in some way. Uncle/cousin/sibling…something.

If the 6th “A. Waters” was pregnant, that means her child would be 5-6 years older than the girls. Born some time in 2000. 😳 The only person around them who fits that age bracket, is Wes.

🅰️ showing up while Wes is in the car with Tabby, is meant to throw us off. He can’t be in 2 places at once, right? Sure, but we already know there’s more than one person in play. An “🅰️ team.”

We haven’t heard much about Chip and Wes’ background. I bet they’re brothers, but obviously with different fathers. Our mystery “A. Waters” may have given Wes up for adoption and he found his way to Millwood once he got older.

Chip may not even be aware of who Wes really is. And now I think Chip is another red herring…last night, I was convinced he was probably the rapist, but nah.

Tabby is going to find a way to use the donated blood to find out who hurt her and Imogen. She’s going to convince Chip to donate with them. She ALWAYS convinces Chip to join in her shenanigans.

They’re going to get a familial DNA hit. They’ll see Imogen’s baby is related by blood to Chip, but he’s not the father. NIPP can be done after 8 weeks of pregnancy. It’s a non-invasive prenatal paternity procedure.

Chip will be just as shocked as them to find out he’s related to Imogen’s child.

Wes is into horror films. It makes sense that he would choose a Carrie scenario for Karen’s demise. In this scene, he told us he was doing “research.” He basically looked us dead in our faces and said, “I’m 🅰️.” 😭

His “research” was for creative, horrific ideas in how to torture the girls and their moms. Lastly, Tyler died for fucking with Tabby. We all know Wes is obsessed with her.

PLL: OS Thoughts and Spoilers!!

Okay I just finished the first three episodes of PLL: OS and I have many, many thoughts and also I am totally hooked, but what I keep coming back to is this - 

This whole twin thing with Karen and Kelly HAS to be part of this, right? I mean, Kelly has played such a relatively small role in the show so far, it’s not like she has some clear purpose in the plot as of now. And yet the writers have gone to all of this extra effort to have Mallory Bechtel film scenes as both twins, use a body double for those scenes, edit it all together…instead of just having Karen be an only child, or giving her a fraternal twin played by a different actress. Would they really go to all that trouble just for the sake of having identical twins “just because”? I don’t think so.

I also have to point out that when she first arrives at the dance, Imogen “mistakenly” identifies Kelly as Karen. But was it really a mistake? Imogen used to be best friends with these girls, how likely is it that she would so easily mix them up at this point? And Kelly’s “twin-fusion” response seemed a little nasty and out of character…a little too much like Karen.

So I think it’s pretty clear at this point that Karen and Kelly kept up their switching places trick from earlier in the episode and it was really Kelly who died at the dance, with Karen taking her place and masquerading as her, and I will die on this hill (for now).

My thoughts exactly! Especially the twin-fusion comment, I couldn’t get past that. I’d also like to go the extra mile and suggest that, maybe she isn’t the one who did it, and maybe she didn’t know exactly what was gonna happen, but Karen was definitely involved at least a bit in Kelly’s death.
