I'm gonna be honest,, I just read fics of the kid!Jon time traveller theme and I got a bit shook when they were all unfinished and I was craving for more. I just started doodling my own version to cope, one with a much more light-hearted and funny tone

And hoping that maybe my drawings might inspire tma fic writers to write more "jon time travels to his 8 year old self" fics,, i love the theme so much i dont mind reading it again and again

ANYWAY, here are the fics that got me hooked:

1.) Too much time by Hix (180k+ words) - angtsy as fuck,,, super slow burn when it comes to jon’s relationships with others,, my fave one so far. Jon has his memories intact but elias doesnt 2.) Time is Hard by Serazimei (130k+ words) - a bit more light hearted than the first fic,, friendships are formed faster and there are a lot of sweet moments. Elias is forced to remember what he did to jon but has no plans to end the world after

3.) The Timeline of Theseus by Applea (90k+ words) - Jon doesn’t remember anything at all but is still powerful. Elias keeps him around because of his abilities 4.) A break in the clouds by Ash_ Rabbit (107k+ words) - here the real Elias keeps his body and Jonah is in James Wright. His interactions with Jon are so adorable hngg

There’s also Little Archive by paperdream if your looking for something of a similar vibe, it’s not exactly a time travel fic, cuz the only one with knowledge of the future is Beholding, but it basically makes Jon the Archive at age 8 and Elias adopts him. It’s lovely.

Part 3 threshold

Parker going "my bed" means that arthur's been sleeping in parker's bed BWHAHAHAHAH. CRAZY.

Also Logan is obviously gonna be ally or foe, but I bet he's an ally and I ALSO BET that the moment where they start to get closer is gonna play out with Arthur kidnapped, immobilized, beaten to an inch of his life, and then Logan comes in going "ARTHUR?!" gun drawn and then he sees Arthur on the floor so he rushes towards him. He tries to help the guy cause obv his femur got shattered and Arthur is trying to run after the guy who did this to him but he gets head butted (fondly) and told to calm down.

This whole podcast is gonna be another arthur harem I swear.

I love how threshold handles the conversations about boundaries.

John asks every time he takes over Arthur’s body to drive. Arthur communicates when he is uncomfortable and his concern about losing control in his own body. John expresses frustration about how nobody talks to him directly except for Arthur and Noel.

They keep navigating this unique situation while trying to respect each others feelings. They use the time out to separate and think without the other.

The navigation of their shared body is one of the most interesting things about their relationship. They cannot separate. They depend on each other. John makes Arthur walk into fences when he is angry. They have to communicate in a way that goes above and beyond most relationships.

But the thing that is different from the first seasons is that they both chose this life. They both wanted this. They love each other. They are trying to make it work. Together. And it is exhausting and difficult at times but it’s worth it to them.

They aren’t perfect. But they are genuinely trying.
