Nobody grows up unscathed.  If your parents don't divorce and break your heart, the anguish brought by a first love clues you in on how pain comes along with living.  And if you're lucky enough to make it through your formative years with no real trauma, you end up watching Titanic one day and that's it. You finally feel the suffering around you, and from then on the world is just not the perfect place you knew.

I love when you find the exact word or phrase to describe a feeling.

  ennui- a feeling of weariness and dissatisfaction : boredom

the kind of ennui that comes from having too much time on one's hands and too little will to find something productive to do

Stupidity and ignorance should be very painful, cause infertility.... and if left untreated, spontaneous combustion.

It's hard to fall asleep just knowing the alarm will eventually interrupt.  I'm beginning to lose sleep over the thought of being woken up... but that awakening won't be an issue if my insomnia acts up all night. ugh

sleep feels like a vacation..... and they call death the big sleep.
