Newkirk and Bucky get along in a way that seems like they're just tolerating each other. Underneath that they are actually friends, not extremely close but good enough to sit down at a card table and know that both of them are cheating.

Oh that's good. Newkirk can stop side-eyeing her suspiciously then xD not really, he figured things were good a while back. And you learn interesting things after a while. And they do, we should RP them more, see where it goes.

Newkirk would pretend to be her lover to get her out of a sticky situation (but he'd do that, or something like it, for most of his friends). But nothing past that. They're good friends, yeah. I like their dynamic.

Is now a good time to mention I like Bucky and Tigers dynamic as well?

I read a story once where Newkirk and Tiger got together after the war. Thankfully it was only a subplot, because neither muse nor mun can see it happening.

Whhaaat? I mean, Newkirk will happily hit on Tiger, or any woman really, but actually getting together is completely different. I can't see it and the muse can't either. He's happier being friends with Tiger.

"Not too well, strange things are ‘appenin’ around ‘ere… An we ‘aven’t. Not for a few months, I think. Me an’ Hogan went off for a while there. I’m back now, not so sure about ‘im though…" Newkirk stopped there. That was enough rambling on that. "What about you? ‘Ow ‘ave things been?"

"Strange things? S’il vous plait, could you tell me what I have missed? I have not seen Hogan for a couple of months, mais I trust that he is alright. There is nothing he can get into that he cannot get himself out of. Merci for asking, life could be better. Lately I have been taking care of my biographer, as she has been sick lately. I hope yours is better?"

"Found out there's another me or somethin' like that. Not exactly a copy of meself. That was only today, I 'aven't been around here for a few months, left a bit earlier than Hogan. An' 'e's jus' fine, only 'e isn't 'anging around 'ere anymore." Newkirk shifted his stance, easily falling back into the run of things.

"I 'aven't really been around much, but I think she's alright."

Oh ok….. um, well then….flaws? :/ I don’t know whether to feel hurt or….idk I’m confused here… and embarrassed.

I don't mean to hurt ya here. I really don't. And as I said, I have flaws in my rping as well.

As for the RP thing, I just kind of went about watching and re-watching the series and playing extra close attention to Newkirk. How he speaks, acts, stuff like that. Like, how his accent isn't even cockney. It's kind of close, but not exactly. Stuff like that. You just have to pay attention to him. -shrug- And pay attention to your own writing and skills there, that's important in RPing as well, but a whole different topic. Kinda. Portrayal of a character rests on your writing skills as well as your general interpretation of them.

If you want me to explain this better just send me an ask or fan-mail and we can discuss it like that. So we don't clutter peoples dashboards.

Maybe the role player has a different view on how Newkirk would react? I mean they are doubles but that doesn't mean their personality's have to be bang on right?

Well, yeah. Of course that's going to happen. No two people will play a character exactly a like. But there should be similarities, as they are the same character. I'm talking more on how the character was written in the show and going off of that. If they wanted something different why not a different character to roleplay? Or maybe go into making their own character? I mean, in creating their own they could go a lot farther in depth and create something great if enough time and effort and originality is put in! That would be cool.

But going with a canon character as the chosen character to roleplay means basing it off of what you see in the source material and trying to recreate that kinda, with a touch of your own stuff of course (like headcanons), but not so much that is complete changes the character into a whole different person. That's just mischaracterization and kinda missing the whole point here. Like there are certain things Newkirk would and wouldn't do. Those quirks are shown clearly in the show (there are more than enough episodes to get a good feel for the character and then some).

So it would be obvious when things aren't written correctly, they're out of character.

And I'm not saying I'm perfect at playing Newkirk, there are flaws in my writing, especially since I took a break fro RPing him for a bit there.

Having different views is fine, but you should be able to tell they're the same character.

I’m not mad. I just think their characterization needs some work. I know I’m not perfect either, but I like to think I put nice effort into the character in actions and how he speaks and how he would and wouldn’t react. If they’d like to discuss with me on their own about this, I’d be happy to talk! I’d love to talk to anyone about Newkirk and his mannerisms, really.

Peter-muse on the other hand is a bit ticked. Though that might be from shock. Or something.

Not with any canon characters. Though if he and Hogan didn't get together I can see him finding himself a nice girl after the war.

And I don't really have any other ships in the series aside from LeBeau and Mayra.

"Woah" said Newkirk. "You....you look exactly like me...." He whispered his eyes wide. How was this possible? This man looked identical to him.

"I see someone ‘as finally got’round to pretendin’ to be me."  Newkirk eyes the obvious impostor. "Not sure if I’m flattered or offended."

Newkirk didn’t mean any offense. He wasn’t trying to be this guy…yet something in fact wasn’t right at all!

"Alright, alright, don’t get angry now!" said Newkirk narrowing his eyes.

"Look we both know somethin ain’t right ‘ere but I can’t put me finger on it…." This guy must have been round the bend thinking he was an imposter. Maybe he was? Maybe he was the threat…but he couldn’t remember anything. Not one little clue.

This was getting to be far too much. There was something very obviously wrong here. Newkirk was staring straight at someone who looked exactly like him. That would seem to be a problem, to him at least. Two of the same person in one spot… Then again, this Peter didn’t seem to be much like him. "Well, seein’ as there’s a bloody copy of me standin’ ‘ere I’d say that’s an important problem. Or is there even more off ‘ere than that?"

Newkirk, well the other Newkirk sighed. "No I’d say this is the problem…I don’t think there’s anymore of….us copies.." He frowned biting his lip.

"Well I dunno what ta think of this. There’s another of me…no wait another of you…unless we’re twins I don’t ‘Ave one single clue as to what is going on" He said shaking his head.

So far his…actual self seemed to despise him. Well then, great first impressions. He rocked back and forth on his feet than let out a sigh. "Core blimey…bit of a sticky wicket" He mumbled to himself trying to figure out what in God’s name was going on.

"An' 'ow is there not bein' more of us a problem?" Newkirk sighed. All of this was just a shock and more than a little freaky. "I don't 'ave a twin, I know that." Shifting his weight, the Englishman crossed his arms.

"An' back on the topic of there not bein' more of us, two here is more than enough! Bloody hell..." He dropped his gaze to the ground, shaking his head. This wasn't going well at all.

(Yeah it was I should have explained that…..REALLY? Oh phew…Geez. I thought you were actually pissed at me, I mean I know it was him “talking” but I got frightened there for a second like I did something wrong))

" ‘ey look ‘ere pal!" Snapped the second Newkirk. "i ain’t a disgrace! What jus’ cause I’m in a good mood means I’m doin something wrong ‘ere?" He frowned crossing his arms.

Newkirk narrowed his eyes. He was leaning more towards offended now. “I never said anythin’ about your good mood. Jus’ your speech pattern is off an’ so’s a few other things.” This was almost too much. No one else was really around aside from Carter, who apparently didn’t see anything wrong here. This bloke was nothing like him! How could they not see something was up here?
