god is not separate from humanity

god is not separate from creation

god is not separate from anyone

god does not watch suffering, sitting unmoved

unless nobody moves

/

even then—

god is in the suffering, in the sufferer

god is in pain,

god aches

/

even when the sufferer is abandoned

by the world

god is all; god has time

to sit with you while you cry

god has all the time in the world

to be with you as you bleed out

even when there is no way to heal a wound,

god does not turn from it

god's eyes don't turn from your aching

god doesn't flinch away from your screams,

too intimidated by your raw pain

god does not hush your sobs or ask you to cry quieter

god lets you scream. god is given a throat and lips by your screams

god knows,

sometimes there is no cure

and all you can do is be there

and be with
