It’s been thirty seven days since she last saw him. The last time his lost stare drove a stake in her heart. The calm and collected look on his face holds a new meaning, a more sinister one. This wasn’t who he was and Skye knew it. The countless time’s he swore he wasn’t loyal to the beast that destroyed his life had to mean something. The countless times he promised her that he would never lie to her. Deep down at the bottom of her heart, she held onto it. It was all she had left of him. The tingling in her fingertips were begging for its release but Skye would never allow it to happen. No matter how much the words falling from his lips caused the blood in her veins to boil. Skye ripped the coms from ear, letting it drop to the ground where she smashed the small piece with her boot. Shield would be there in fifteen minutes flat. Convincing a man with nothing left to lose wasn’t going to be easy but what choice did she have? This was her only option except Ward made it clear he didn’t want her near him. Skye was spouting off anything she could think of to try and stop the movement in his feet. She was failing. Jumping on his back wasn’t logical especially when hers slammed against the concrete floor. Skye wouldn’t watch as shield put a bullet in his head. She stood up, dusting off her black pants, and continued forward. If he wouldn’t come with her, she was going to go with him. Ward refused to believe her, ranting about it starting with the four bullets in his side and how everything all ended with Kara’s death. The distraught look written in the creases of his eyes, it stung. And when shield cornered them in a back room of the compound they were currently in, she fought against them, by his side. Skye knew a thing or two about the black hole of despair and so she made a declaration to herself. She was going destroy his demons even if it meant she held onto hers.
