Tips on drawing hands.
This is an animatic I started about a year and a half ago and never got around to finishing. Figured I should post what I finished along with the (VERY) rough animatic storyboards of the unfinished parts!
NO, I’m not planning on finishing it. Sorry!
This animatic, while not canon to the story, would have taken place around like Chapter 17ish of the blog where Sombra is still learning to be a “good guy” but is having trouble figuring out what he’s supposed to do if he can’t be a king.
Music: “If I Were a Jolly Blacksmith” from Galavant
Featuring a bunch of OCs that I can’t remember the names of. Scream in the comments if you recognize yours!
I made it unlisted on youtube ‘cuz I don’t feel like getting a bazillion comments of “I DONT GET IT” and “WHEN R U GONNA FINISH IT” hahahaaaaaa
it’s completely acceptable to stay alive for tiny reasons. because you want to hear your favorite song one more time. because your dog will miss you if you leave. because the moon is just too pretty to never see again. because you haven’t seen the next season of a really good tv show. because you want to see the christmas lights this year. if you’re alive, you’re doing enough. if you’re surviving, i’m proud of you.
Coffee and Tea drinkers are going at it, and I’m over here with my whipped cream/sprinkles cocoa just sipping away.
So, time to talk about insecurities I guess.
I’m sure this one’s pretty relatable, but I always find myself namesearching and trying to know what people think of me. It’s pretty apparent and out that that the people I hang around like me just like any of their other friends, but I never really feel satisfied with the amount of attention I get.
I mean, I get daily comments on my videos and whenever I post a new one. How cool is that? Yet I’ve become numb to it and often don’t appreciate how much it means to me. Same goes for the friends I have. Often I don’t feel like I appreciate their value enough, talk with them enough, etc. I know I’m a valuable and well-respected member in the communities and groups of friends I hang around, but that just never seems to be enough.
Makes me feel self-centered. Selfish. Always desiring attention. I wish I could be satisfied with the amount of support and love I have. Take it all away and I’m sure I’d look back at these times as some of the best in my life.
Guess I just need to remind myself about all the support I’ve gotten more than anything else. And that I should try and give back whenever I can. Focus less on myself and try to think about others, and most of all continue being a good friend. The hard part is focusing on it. :I
Actually using the blog?
I’ve been thinking about making posts on occasion here about myself. I stopped following back friends on here because I was panicking over drama and junk and wanted to remove that unnecessary tension from my mind, but ever since then I’ve only occasionally reblogged some things.
I tried having people ask me questions on here but that never really lasted, so maybe I’ll just make occasional rambles about my personal life and if people care then that’s great. If they don’t, well, at least I’m giving myself an outlet and making more use of the blog.
I’m not trying to be special or anything by making serious posts about my insecurities and junk, just feel like this might be a good way to vent or let loose things that have been on my mind.
Feel free to leave responses if you care. Tumblr gave me the option anyway. Good idea? Hope I can stick with it.
P.S. I’m terrible with my sleep schedule right now. I tried to go to bed 3 hours ago and I’m supposed to wake up soon. I suck. I can’t go to bed early nor wake up at a decent hour unless I have to.
Guess I should add that it won’t be all negative junk either. It’s just that when I have trouble sleeping I get pretty down on myself. No biggie.

Are you able to speak? Would you like to help others do the same?
VOCALiD is an app for use via iPhone that allows users to essentially donate their voice so that it may be used to create synthetic speech for those with severe speech impediments, or otherwise without clear voices of their own.
All you need to become a speech donor is an internet connection, a microphone, and a quiet environment to record in. Your voice will be blended with those of others in order to create new, unique synthetic voices suited to each recipient (i.e., no worries if you’re concerned with anyone recognizing your voice coming from someone else).
Contributing your voice to the Human Voice Bank Initiative costs nothing, and only requires signing up for a free VOCALiD account. If you’d like to become even further involved with the project, I’m sure they wouldn’t mind volunteers or donations (but, again–you aren’t obligated to give anything more than what you want to). Just reading through the various given sentences may eventually give someone else the ability to convey those same sentences in a voice made just for them.
For those interested, the VOCALiD homepage can be found here. If you have any concerns before signing up, the VOCALiD Terms of Use page can be found here.
Passing this around again, because it’s just a really great idea, and could help a lot of people. I plan on joining myself when I have a better microphone (or I might just use Morty’s). And, again, it’s totally free to do.
I don’t usually add commentary, but this is genius, and I’m doing it, and we should all contribute, this is honestly so wonderful, bless the people that worked through and created this.
Voice actors, let’s get on it!

If you can’t find a place on your blog for Patrick Stewart in a bathtub dressed like a lobster, then your blog probably doesn’t deserve such majesty anyway.
It has returned to my dash and I cannot fight the compulsion to reblog…
the patrick lobster appears only once in a thousand years, reblog for good luck
I don’t usually reblog anything, but Patrick Stewart always gets an exception.

So I'm guessing you're studying art at some university, right? Could you give me any tips as to what it takes to do something like that? Because around this time next year I'll probably have to choose what to do with my life after I get my abitur and I'm just a little big bit overwhelmed with all the choices I potentially have. Would you say that art is something worth pursuing like that if it's only ever been a hobby so far?i
Well, sORTA, I’ve been studying graphic design for 3 and a half years, even tho I am not planning on making it my profession. Its been a great way of discovering skills I was unaware of having and gave me a feeling for composition and design! I’ve been doing my best during the past three years to connect every project we had with my passion for illustrations, concept art and storytelling and it has been going very well!
To study art whether it be graphic design or book illustrations, you WILL need a portfolio with your best works, and in some cases there will be a qualifying examination, where you’ll get a task you will have to perform in a couple of hours or in a time span of three days.
ONE thing I can tell you for sure: Becoming an artist requires A LOT of passion xD You must BURN for it. It must be the one thing you enjoy the most! Be optimistic! Be strong! Find out what you are good at and make it to your profession!
So I’d say you should ask yourself how GREAT of a hobby art has been for you so far. Is it something you’ve been doing for years? Is it something you just started to discover for yourself but enjoy it immensely? If you FEEL like this could be something for you, DEFINITELY try it out! Find out what you enjoy doing the most and if you could imagine making a living of it! Even if you decide to study a field of art and find out its not really for you, just like in MY case with graphic design for example, studying it has been a great way of self-discovery and I’ve become FAR more aware of my strengths and weaknesses! Dont get encouraged if something doesnt work for you, try out as MANY things as you can.
I know that for a lot of people deciding on what to study isnt easy. So again, try to think of what you enjoy and interests you the most and inform yourself about the different career paths PLUS check out some universities and their fields of study whenever they have their public days!
And most importantly: Do not worry too much about the future. You HAVE time. You are YOUNG. You can take all the time you need to discover who you are and what you are good at and EVEN if you choose a profession you end up not enjoying as much as you thought, it will NEVER be too late for you to change things and take on a new path.
I wish you the best for the future!
