what's your take on these sort of mega brands? (girl/toy machine/chocolate/royal/spitfire, baker/deathwish/shake junt, etc)?

they were so comfortable for so long, just sticking with the status quo and then huge changes came, smaller companies were started and did things differently and brought a breath of fresh air to the industry. the big brands have definitely woken up to the fact that they’re not going to be on top forever. it’s just like how many times can baker make the same deck graphic or girl make the same OG girl graphic in slightly different ways? it’s just boring and people want something new

well, people are going to do things whether we think they’re acceptable or not. that being said, supreme is fine for a non-skater since they actively collaborate with lots of non-skaters and are more a “streetwear” brand than skate brand nowadays. as for fucking awesome, i think for someone to even know about the brand they would have to at least be knowledgeable of skateboarding. i’m sure there are lots of non-skaters who do wear FA, but i don’t understand why they’d want to
