"Show me a hero and I’ll write you a tragedy."
- F. Scott Fitzgerald.

"And I’ll only feel smaller and smaller" 36x48x2” ink on cradled clayboard 2013 for “SPACE: The Gallery Show" at Gallery1988 West (sold) railways are, at their core, a series of paths between very very distant places. the signal alerts you if two paths are soon to cross. the viewer is moving backwards into the darkness, watching the universe get larger and larger, feeling smaller and smaller themselves. all while recognizing the potential of crossing anothers path, but the signal isnt lit for now. its some kind of goofball metaphor for “hey, theres life out there. we just gotta keep moving in a direction ourselves.”
The Contract.
You pretend you care about other people but in the end, it’s all about you. You’re just afraid of being alone, aren’t you?
