absolutely obsessed with mouthwashing fanart depicting anya as the virgin mary. the idea that the crew (jimmy and curly in particular) harboring so much denial and erasure of the crime done to her that it’s literally labeled as immaculate conception. the fact that she is wholly reduced to being valued only through the lens of nurturing (performing her duties as a nurse) and forgiveness (never bringing up what jimmy did to her), like a traditional mother should. because how dare she disrupt the peace and harbor anger for them, when they all need her to save them. she’s only a symbol to remind them to repent, and they hate her for it. she’s only a symbol, just like the virgin mary.
