What if Orca did win the fight against Coral, reigned supreme for a few years then for some twist of fate or even by her own choice one of her female eggs hatched?

Orca would have had a bunch of sons already but never a daughter, then for her own surprise she actually forms a bond with her daughter and starts to care

Now she's burdened with guilt and haunted by thoughts of her unhatched daughters every time she closes her eyes. (Maybe even enchants something to see which path her daughters would have followed...)

Meet these two goofballs i created! Bell (Sandwing/Skywing) and North (Icewing).

Brought to you by a music inspired drawing session

Bell is a sad little creature that has a deadly terror from the cold because he almost died in a snow storm when he was little and North is a ray of sun with a HUGE heart (wip).

Honestly the mental image that powered me to create them was him finding comfort in her personality and cold while working to overcome his trauma, and her warming up to him the more and more he made progress and showed his true colors.

I already have THREE animatic ideas with them in my head because i kept replaying an album while drawing and oh my god the brainworms got me

The amount I NEED an Icicle winglet is crazy. She’s such a fire character and I want to see her mental state spiral into where she got to by Winter’s book. I hope we’ll see more of her in arc 4 with Sora back in the main light.

Happy AAPI Heritage month!! PI here, and no one ever remembers us even during our month. so I was really planning on putting together a little masterlist post with all the original whump stories I could think of with Pacific Islander characters.

however, I could only think of one.

If anyone would like to let me know of some more, I will absolutely make the post!! but for now, shoutout to Angel of Death. you should all read it, I love Keola. please please please let me know if any more pacific islander whump characters exist because i want to read them.

haha I forgot to mention this part when I posted this. AAPI month is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage month. It's an American holiday celebrated in the month of May. Yes, I am VERY aware that this will not be nationally celebrated anymore due to Executive Order 14148.

So before anyone asks about whether or not I know it's cancelled: yeah, I know. I don't give a shit. I will not let anyone take it from me. I still remember the first aapi month, during which I lived in rural mormonville, and I remember the impact it had. I will not ever let go of it. thanks :)

edit: lol I forgot that aapi month started before I was alive. sorry i'm exhausted. what I meant was that I remember the first AAPI month after eo 14031, which was when it started being celebrated in the place i lived.

today in astronomy class i was stuck with guilt for having given the rest of his family matching names but not him. especially because his brother's name is literally one of the two pointer stars. so uh. do i keep it kieran for the sake of the readers or do i change it to dubhe for the sake of his feelings?
