still trying to come to terms with the ugly purple fairy i drew 13 years ago.
I’m Madison Montgomery. I make seven million dollars a picture. I have two Teen Choice Awards. My mother put me to work ever since I could talk. I hated it. The last time I saw her, she snorted half my coke and then let the cops bust me for it. I am a millennial. Generation Y; born between the birth of AIDS and 9/11, give or take. They call us the global generation. We are known for our entitlement and narcissism. But it seems our one defining trait is a numbness to the world. An indifference to suffering. And that’s the rub of all this, isn’t it? I can’t feel shit. I can’t feel anything. We think that pain is the worst feeling. It isn’t. How could anything be worse than this eternal silence inside of me. I used to not eat for days, or eat like crazy then stick my fingers down my throat. Now no matter how much I binge I can’t fill this hole inside me. I can’t take it anymore. I think I’m going batshit.

Just something that happened to me at a convention a while ago that stuck with me, and finally decided to doodle after reading Gingerhaze’s recent post.
I’ve had the incredible luck of living in a city where women in comic shops, whether they’re behind the counter or are customers themselves, isn’t uncommon. But I know that that isn’t true for everyone. There’s a great list going around tumblr of safe spaces for comic fans and I highly encourage you to find one near you and pick up a comic or two, or even a copy of Ms. Marvel #1 (PS: I REALLY LIKED IT).
I had a guy ask me if I’d ever even watched Adventure Time
While I was selling the covers of Adventure Time that I drew
With a little sign that said “Artist for Adventure Time Miniseries”
I hear this
Lady Gaga and Kpop pretty much sums up my playlist at the moment.
I inked using the stumpy brush from here. I set the opacity and flow to 100% and switch from Multiply to Normal. It actually helps me ink faster because all the nuances from the bristles look so natural I don’t mind a few odd lines here and there as opposed to using a regular smooth brush where one hair out of line drives me insane.
Stephanie drew the amazing cover for Seeing Red! She’s so good!
On Friday the US — despite the loss of its biggest gun in slopestyle — grabbed the event’s first gold medal. Sage Kotsenburg upended expectations when his quirky style and an impressive spur-of-the-moment trick he’d never tried before set the bar too high for the Canadians everyone...

One good thing about this movie: he could have said “no, shooting arrows is not for little girls” but instead he said “no, shooting with that big bow is not for little girls. use this small one.” i think that’s fantastic.

You still want to blow him up?
No. We’re out of dynamite anyway.
Ten rape prevention tips: 1. Don’t put drugs in women’s drinks. 2. When you see a woman walking by herself, leave her alone. 3. If you pull over to help a woman whose car has broken down, remember not to rape her. 4. If you are in an elevator and a woman gets in, don’t rape her. 5. When you encounter a woman who is asleep, the safest course of action is to not rape her. 6. Never creep into a woman’s home through an unlocked door or window, or spring out at her from between parked cars, or rape her. 7. Remember, people go to the laundry room to do their laundry. Do not attempt to molest someone who is alone in a laundry room. 8. Use the Buddy System! If it is inconvenient for you to stop yourself from raping women, ask a trusted friend to accompany you at all times. 9. Carry a rape whistle. If you find that you are about to rape someone, blow the whistle until someone comes to stop you. 10. Don’t forget: Honesty is the best policy. When asking a woman out on a date, don’t pretend that you are interested in her as a person; tell her straight up that you expect to be raping her later. If you don’t communicate your intentions, the woman may take it as a sign that you do not plan to rape her.

this perfectly represents how ridiculous the things women are told to prevent rape in the rape culture we live in

This is such harsh advice until you realize it’s the truth
