Create a fanwork for any prompts that catch your attention. Alt prompts can be used if you don’t like / don’t have inspo for one of the main prompts
Post each work on the relevant day in September (1st for ‘new’, 2nd for ‘shock’, etc)
On Tumblr, tag your works with #septembleford and #septembleford2026 (without a space)
On AO3, add your work to the collection by typing septembleford2026 into the ‘post to collections’ bar on the work creation page
Sundays are break days, which don't have specific prompts. You could use them to catch up with other people's Septembleford works, reply to comments on your own works, share one of your older works, or create something for an alt prompt

A gentle reminder that Edward Little proved to be one of the most emotionally stable and physically resilient members of the Franklin expedition. He was the last survivor, surpassed only by Crozier. Thank you.
some fun facts:
1. by my count, james never calls francis "captain crozier". there is a handful of "the captain"s in there, but nothing compared to francis' many commander/captain fitzjameses. what this says, other than his inability to stop calling someone francis when asked, i do not know.
2. thanks to the above, my own question to myself about whether james says /kɹəʊziə/ or /kɹəʊʒə/ has been answered thusly: he doesn't LOL
3. they say their own names only once (francis in his "don't call me francis" scene, james during the cairn reveal) (unless i missed something!)
4. they don't say each other's names in episode 3 at all
5. these were put together in order of appearance, i didn't mix them around for funsies/to make anything sound better. make of that what you will!
I love All Creatures Great and Small because they establish early on that a middle-aged man and woman are living and working out of the same house, and you think you know where the story is going, but then fast forward 6 seasons and all they’ve done is gotten strangely offended when the other has a romantic prospect and stared wistfully into the distance when a patient describes their beloved, overworked sheepdog
