Pillowcase Sleep Assist

Pillowcase Sleep Assist exist purely through wires, cables, antennas, and various operating systems. One half of PSA is stationed out somewhere deep in the Heartland of America monitoring the stars and making sure no colossal meteors or comets hit the Earth, while the other is stationed somewhere off the coast of California monitoring the ocean’s water quality and attempting to communicate with jellyfish. When these duties do not interfere the two transmit the collected data back and forth between each other in various formats each with varied sequences, BPM, and the occasional goobliglock.

Hiroshima Day

I created this installation—inspired by Yoko Ono—in honor of Hiroshima Day. Sixty-nine cranes for the sixty-nine years since an American aircraft dropped the atomic bomb on the Japanese city of Hiroshima. The bomb immediately killed an estimated 80,000 people. Within a year, deaths from injuries and radiation brought total casualties to 90,000–140,000 people. (Washington Square Park, NYC)
