Her sweet dreams consisting of the Mexico sun, the waves, the music on the beach, the party and people, came to an abrupt end as the blonde opened her eyes and looked at the all-too-familiar sterile coloured walls. They were back at the regular Brielle facility. ButâŚ. how? Had she really been that blasted at the party that she didnât remember anything? Or so hungover from all that she had ingested that Payson had no recollection of boarding the plane, getting here? Had she slept through the entire tripâŚ?? She really did not remember, and it didnât help that she wasnât exactly in pajamas, either.Â
âWhat in theâŚ.â the blonde mumbled, mostly directed to the person near her, in hopes that they might provide her with some sort of clue or answer. She groaned as it set in that they were back in good olâ Oregon.Â
The light sounds of snores and breaths were enough to keep Demetria awake through the entire journey home â her THROBBING headache not helping either⌠It had been such a long time since she had drank that after a couple of glasses of vodka, the brunette had been sent into a trance; her fragile little mind corrupted with the fiery liquid that burned her throat â her windpipe a line of petroleum whilst the flames went up into the air, sending her night into an uproar. Demi had no idea what Payson had taken at the party⌠She dared NOT ask either. Her assumptions only went so far last time that it sparked an argument and that was something that she was not going to risk again. She was finally beginning to get people on her side â building an ARMY of her own and not because she needed it, but because she was enjoying their friendship â as much as she hated to show such emotions.Â
Hazels lifted from the silhouettes of coach seats, the stir of some patients loudening as the bus took one final hoist over a speed bump â Payson being sat in the opposite row. Charlie was still sleeping next to her, which was no wonder⌠The boy barely slept at all unless he had somebody he trusted next to him and Demi felt honoured that she was that person. As her fingertips grazed over her temples, the beauty glanced up towards her blonde friend in the opposite row â letting out a groan as she realised EXACTLY where they were too⌠Brielle.Â
âPayson â fucking hell. Donât let them take me back in there. My head is KILLING me, I think Iâd rather die than even consider getting back into that building.â
Paysonâs head lolled to the side, rolling over so she could make eye contact with Demi, her voice distinct amount the subtle chatter of the bus. âI would say letâs take the emergency exit out of here, but.....â she literally could not feel her legs.... or her arms.... or like, anything. The only thing the girl did feel, was gross. She was in desperate need of some gatorade and a shower. âCan we pretend we died?â she said with a chuckled laugh, feeling halfway there already. âSo.... that party.....â Payson smirked, looking at her friend.
