I made another coat of arms for one of my roleplaying OCs, Camille “Rosy” Grey. You know what, I have no in-universe reason for Camille having this. This basically only exists because I like making coats of arms.

Symbolism

Rose proper Canting charge referring to her nickname, “Rosy,” due to her rose-tinted glasses.

Three keys Argent Represents access to many locations, in reference to her skills in computer hacking and covert entry.

Crest The kettle hat Sable represents a black hat, a term for malicious hackers.

The drone Or represents her drone flying skill, which she uses to reconnoiter a location before she breaks in, or to terrorize passersby.

“Surveillant” is not an official heraldic term anywhere, but I think using it to mean the drone has a camera is really funny.

Apparently June 1st is Green(f)‘s birthday and because I never keep up with these things, I only found out today, on June 2nd. I usually find out about these character birthdays like a week after they (fictionally) happen, so I usually never do them. But it just so happens I had to log in to the socmed the other day, and I had some extra time on my hands to pump out a drawing. It’s not too late, right? I mean, people leave their Jack-o-Lanterns out to rot for like a month after Halloween.

Anyway, I’m reminded of a toot by my friend Archenoth that you can, at any day in the year except for one, tell someone “happy belated birthday!” and be correct. So in the grand scheme of things, my lateness is <1% of the 364 days that I could be late for this.

I started playing my character Camille, who I originally made for Shadowrun in an RP (that isn’t Shadowrun). Right now she’s trespassing onto a space station’s crash site by pretending to be part of the city’s hazmat response team.

In the RP, the city’s sanitation services has a contract from the fire department to handle hazmat response. Camille takes a taxi from her hotel to the city landfill, hacks the electronic lock on a dump truck with an employee’s uniform and ID badge inside, and disguises herself as a garbage collector.

She then quickly waves the ID card in front of a hungover guard, and walks into a restricted zone with the hazmat equipment and truck. Driving to the crash site, she makes it past the police checkpoint in her disguise, and starts exploring.

The truck comes with a big drone used for scouting ahead, collecting materials data, and decontamination.

I drew this without inking on top of an existing sketch, so the lineart is a little sketchy in and of itself. Honestly, I kinda like doing it this way, especially with how tedious I find doing the inking.

I had a rough month so I haven't been keeping up with posting my art. I wanted to post something at least, so here's a mishmash of stuff I've done in March.

The first is a coat of arms for the father of a character in an RP I'm in, who comes from a long line of Cartomancers and Games Merchants. Since Theodore, character I'm actually playing, isn't distinguished enough to have his own arms, and his father is still very much alive, he would only be entitled to use these arms if differenced with a label of three points, representing the first son of the current bearer.

Then I have some practice sketches that I made after watching a YouTube video about lighting. I don't remember the title of the video anymore, though.

The last one is a LuckyShipping sketch I did for a Sketch the Prompt Above art game on Bulbagarden Forums. Apparently there's some kind of Scott Pilgrim art trend where you have two characters in this pose, which is the prompt I got.

Woah it's the 30th anniversary of Pokémon! I put together this little drawing for an art event Bulbagarden's doing, and it was too cute not to share!

I drew this for a Palentine’s Art Exchange on Bulbagarden Forums. Everyone signs up with a list of prompts they might want to see drawn by a randomly matched forum user, which could involve canon Pokémon characters, OCs, or a mix of both.

The prompt I drew was of Steven Stone with Zircon, the Lati@s-inspired OC by my match, Wholesome Cryptid. Their forum profile pic is Steven Stone at the Safari Zone (I think), so I’m drawing for a real Steven fan.

op where the hell did you find out about U+1CDF7. that was such an intriguing name that i had to google it to see the original and i can't find any images of this thing. what legacy computing program used this and why??? 𜷷𜷷𜷷𜷷

It's from the Mattel Aquarius character set, a Z80-based home computer from 1983. The characters are for making games with. According to Unicode proposal L2/21/235, the bottom half of the robot is U+1CDF4, the same as the bottom half of one of the FORWARD-FACING RUNNER animation characters.

There's a moon lander 𜷵 and a frog 𜷻 also. I'm sure there's some exciting games to be made there.

I found it originally by looking at the list of Unicode code blocks and picking one with an interesting looking name. I just needed a character that would look funny as an Unown.

Had a blast drawing this commission of Green(f) in a Raichu costume! Green is my favorite Pokéspe characters (next to Diamond), and it's a great homage to her Corocoro Pikachu costume!
