Sally and I just got hunted by Orcas off Clover Point. I heard the click-click-click of their echolocation and swam through the kelp beds till I could hop out.. Sally got out with me, but she got several puncture wounds on her belly and was critically exhausted. Her momma wasn't so lucky. Stayed together for about three hours while she slept, keeping birds away with my spear. SPCA and Wildlife Rescue wouldn't help, but we managed to contact the rescue team at the Vancouver Aquarium. They arranged a float plane to pick her up and take her to their rehabilitation centre. She barked quite a bit when we'd move her, and would try to bite near the end so she's still got some fight left. Good luck Sally!
