Hot take:

Dispatch should have put off the romance aspects until at least season 2.

This would have allowed for the foundation of connection between Robert and his love interests while making the development of their relationship to be less rushed. Additionally, this would have allowed for the characters' individual arcs and personal growth to be more thorough without being overshadowed by the romantic aspects while allowing players to choose a preference and somewhat understanding of those characters before they have to make a decision. (Also romance should be optional it's much more difficult than it needs to be to avoid romance in this game)
