Edward “Eddie” kept up in a dark castle because of his overbearing mother, hiding him from the world until he was “fixed” before her untimely demise, leaving him all alone and afraid of the world.

Maggie Tozier finds Eddie and brings him home to meet her family, including her semi-popular, well-off, outgoing teen son Richie, who happens to be dating the local douchebag (Greta, Henry, the possibilities are endless here) because he doesn’t think he deserves any better than them.

Was just talking to someone about how my family has “endearment names” for each other. It’s a thing in Poland where every name has a special name of endearment that your loved ones call you to show extra affection, as well as a day to celebrate everyone with the name.

Mine is garbage because my birth name doesn’t exist in Poland and my Babcia had to make it up. (Also my dad learned that his endearment name is a feminine name in America so he refuses to acknowledge it.)

Ok but since Richie calls Eddie “Eds” I think Eddie then calling Richie something unique (cue the “Chee” discourse) because his dads family used to give special names to each other (my father confirmed Eddie’s name would be Edek).

I literally have nothing else to add about this except that it’s just a cute Polish thing and y’all should let Eddie call Richie unique and fun names of love.

Oh goodness. There are so many amazing artists for the fandom. Right now @pinkmedusa6 is setting up some adorably horrific Losers Club stickers — some of the Neibolt Kids and this amazing idea she had to turn the characters into those bubblegum ice pops (the ones that look cute and then look like nightmares when you pull them out of the bag). Making macabre art cute is her specialty and I love it. She also made my pfp!!

honestly, I know that the problem for all of the losers is that they forget, but can you imagine the sheer manic energy of a non-amnesiac young eddie specifically. the mayhem. the chaos. none of us would be ready to handle it. 20yo eddie kaspbrak with his memories intact is an absolute loose cannon. it’s not that he’s undisciplined he’s straight up a law unto himself. he’s 30 batshit rebellious phases concentrated into a single person and he’s thriving he wears sunglasses at night and tennis shoes with no socks and he has definitely picked a fight with someone outside a bar for bumping into him or his boyfriend a little too forcefully. some guy makes a bad joke about richie being gay and says they better watch their back around him and eddie just says “you better watch your front around me” and breaks his fucking nose. anarchy in the UK by the sex pistols is playing in the background
