shelby, drift, and elle are the most important people in avid’s story, why not make them kiss? :3
Pyro's Hitlist (this is all just one submission shoutout to whoever sent this in wow)
So obviously we have the parallels of both Avid and Pyro running away from murdering someone close to them when they get to Oakhurst. But there's so much to be said about this ship being about the cycle of bullying.
How Avid treats Pyro in the early episodes once he's revealed as a vamp is so reminiscent of Czeslaw's bullying, even if Avid is coming from a completely different place
He's still pushing them away from the town, from the possibility of being accepted and seen as not a monster for once, and he's also one of the most vocal in saying that Pyro is an evil vampire that can't be helped unlike Shelby
Pyro's already struggling with feeling like a monster now that he's been turned and having his fears validated, which is not helped by the voice of Czeslaw haunting him (either literally or metaphorically)
If Czeslaws a ghost watching this all happen, he is definitely alternating between commenting on how pathetic Avid's paranoia is and affirming Avid's violence and insults towards Pyro, just to torture them some more as payback for killing him, which definitely doesnt feed into Pyro's guilt complex
Once Avid is turned and accepted into the coven the dynamics shift since Avid can't really label Pyro as the big bad vampire now that he is one as well.
Czeslaw, seeing the chance to do the FUNNIEST thing, feeding Pyro's resentment towards Avid and urging him to take control of the situation for once which leads to him eventually killing Avid and being wracked with THAT guilt as well
So much of their relationship is Avid bullying Pyro, which reminds him of Czeslaw, but he has more power now that he's a vampire, but he still doesn't want to prove him right and be violent but Avid keeps pushing him to violence and for the first time he found people taking his side over his bully's in Scott and Owen hating Avid only to see Scott completely turn around and accept Avid once he's a vampire and that wounds them deeply
Theres so many different fun ways for them to interact too:
All of them in the afterlife bickering with one another and Avid meeting Czeslaw and realizing what Pyro was running from
Ghost!Czeslaw potentially haunting Pyro and possessing him to terrorize Avid (and the whole town (but also mostly Avid for shits and giggles))
BOTH ghost!czeslaw and ghost!Avid haunting Pyro and bickering with each other while he tries not to lose his mind even more
Anyways other things:
Czeslaw would have a FIELD day with Avid if they ever were to meet, like he's hazing the fuck out of Avid
Giving the most backhanded compliments ever for putting Pyro in his place, but he's still kind of lame and Avid definitely begins to realize how his actions actually hurt Pyro the person not just Pyro the vampire
Czeslaw also simultaneously taunting Pyro for just taking Avid's comments and feeding into every insecurity he's had decades to learn about Czeslaw for his part is just having fun needling at the other's just to see their reactions
Truly an "I can make him worse" situation where they're all hurting each other
insane about bf!sausage forever because part of the reason red vs blue was so black and white in his mind was that he’s maybe the only person who didn’t form a proper friendship on the opposite side. he never really connected with anyone in blue and therefore never cared enough to doubt the plan to kill them all. he had never, in all his life, had a reason to question any of it. and on the flip side that made it so easy for blue to hate him, to see him as pure evil. to them he’s only ever been the dark sorcerer who sold his soul to the (more than one) devil. but to red?? he’s the guy who keeps chickens at the mages’ guild. he’s the guy who dances on the dining table when they sing the red kingdom song. he’s someone they’ve built with and gossiped with and played farkle with. he gives them touch of undying in tense situations instead of giving it to himself. ser bek remembers his mother. he saved cam’s life and he was so patient trying to teach cherri magic and he put aside his chaotic demeanour to tell katie never to be ashamed of the choices she’s made. they spent months, in some cases years, with that version of him. and blue never saw it at all.
just. god. no wonder it was so hard for red to see him as a monster. and no wonder it was so easy for blue. I need to eat glass
