can i be honest? i don’t like that concept art for our oc’s for smps becomes the canon look that everyone draws our characters like ;-; i don’t mean for my concept art to be the official “look” down to the details of the outfit. it’s more of an idea.

i like when people take our skins and get really creative with their interpretations. and i hate to see people think concept art means that look is locked in as canon and can’t be imagined any other way.

i want to see other interpretations of my skin, as if you never saw the concept art! i almost didn’t post my concept for the flight because i didn’t want people to take is as 100% accurate canon that can’t be changed or reimagined or even wrong from my own idea.

there’s so much creativity in the minecraft community among artists. i love seeing what comes from your imaginations, and the concept art comes from mine. you guys have way cooler imaginations than me!

Biological family tf!Scott doesn't know anything about his birth family and hasn't any interest in knowing.

Adoptive patents tf!Scott was adopted when he was 2. As far as he knows and what his parents told him, he was found abandoned at the side of a trail in some woods his soon-to-be adoptive parents happened to be travelling trough on their way back after a diplomatic trip. - Both love him like their birth child and wholeheartedly support him. - (from tf!Scott) "Just do as you always do, make mom and dad proud".

Adoptive mother (name not revealed yet) The youngest and the first female mayor of Tegrith and has been doing it for approximately 20 years. Her and Scott's dad would go on many diplomatic trips in their young years to help Tegrith, so when she went for mayor position people supported her. She does a really good job, so people keep re-electing her. - Because of his mom's occupation, tf!Scott did get sent on different transport missions and diplomatic trips to other towns to help with trades.

Pyro Childhood friend from 2 to 15 y.o., the only other in their age bracket in Tegrith. - Grew up into different personalities and were often bickering about how things should be done, but still stayed close before Pyro ran away. - Know how to push each other's buttons. - (from cc!Pyro and cc!Scott) Right now there's some animosity in their relationship. And a lot of unaddressed problems. - After Pyro "left" the Academy, he keeps remembering about them or sometimes takes a second to look at their room door.

Magic

From tf!Scott's words, it seems that heightened emotions are an activator for "something" for him.

Ice Beam ❆ A projectile that deals damage and slows target down. - Was awakened during his argument with Pyro on stream 2 You whisper the cold name... *Name* wears it for a moment. / You loose a winter-breath... but it finds no living vein to frost.

Frosted Treat ❆ Creates a blue ice cream that serves as a pretty nice source of saturation (when isn't melted). - Was awakened shortly after Ice Beam, during conversation about newly awakened powers with Graecie, Sausage, Oli, Pyro and Zam on stream 2 You pinch winter's sweetness... and an ice cream appears. ─────────────────── Ice cream tastes different depending on person's magic: • Scott: blueberry • Drift: mint chip • Shelby: lemon sorbet • Roscumber: strawberry • Jojo: birthday cake • Bubbles/Patricia/Refrigerator/etc. (tf!Martyn): we don't know, but he HATES it - On stream 17 he got better at this spell, can make an ice cream every second or so.

Blizzard ❆ Creates a snow-filled field around him that applies freezing effect to others. - Was awakened immeadiately after hatching his dragon on stream 3 You inhale the white silence... and exhale a storm with teeth.

Frostwater ❆ Toggle that allows him to run on water while freezing it; it immediately unfreezes after. - Was awakened after reading a book about the sacrifice of Fourfold Guard on stream 8 Frostwater ON - water freezes beneath your steps. Frostwater OFF - the ice melts away. ─────────────────── - This spell works when he's in a boat or on a mount. - Frostwater is his favourite ability, because it reminds him of times when he and Pyro could go ice skating on the lakes at the start and the end of winter.

Frostpath ❆ Gives him speed effect and creates an one-block ice path under him, including when he jumps into the air. - Was awakened during Shared Awakening ritual with many people on stream 13 You lean forward– and winter runs ahead of you. A ribbon of ice answers every step. ─────────────────── - The path stays up for a several seconds and others can travel on it too if they're fast enough. - The path only generates in the air if he jumps up from a block, not when he's in freefall. - At stream 18 he still struggles to use Frostpath effectively and safely, can't master it as easily as his previous spells.

Dragon

Name: Aurora (Borealith) Personality: Loyal This trait in the future will possibly allow her to fly faster and deal more damage; - Likes attention and loves snow; - When he sleeps, Aurora rests curled up on his chest; - She likes to eat snow flurries that appear around tf!Scott's head; 👁 At the choosing ceremony on 1st stream, most dragons chose their people while flying around, but a smaller number of them were choosing while running on the ground. Aurora is one of those who ran; 👁 She spent a looot of time hanging near arcade machine with a snake game when she was allowed to freely roam at Lupi party.

Character traits

- (from cc!Scott) Not a flirty one; - (from cc!Scott) He's close to a gentle giant archetype; - Isn't used to tall ceilings and tall buildings; - Likes snow; - Loves harmless pranks, "used to do them all the time"; - He's down for a prank and won't rat someone out, but he's not the one who's coming up with or leading it; - Being adopted is a touchy subject for him; - Has a lot of internal anxiety and need to proof his worth; 👁 Has strong internal locus of control (my ramblings about this interpretation); 👁 Doesn't sound to outright approve thievery or directly engage in it, but he's pretty much okay with keeping and using stuff that he knows was stolen by others; 👁 Likes his notes hightly organised, with every method possible (observed from him writing Scott's Spellbook); 👁 He forms connections quickly and has a strong sense of duty and obligation to all he's connected to (as example, he feels he can't leave behind people in the Academy, the capital and the towns around); 👁 He makes an effort even when he's doing something he doesn't particularly like (no one asked that man to color match decorations he was forced to prepare for Lupi party).

Abilities and behaviour

- Can change his outfit with his powers (like Elsa); - Has a good tracking skills; - Doesn't freeze in powdered snow; - Never been the one who can pick locks before and learned lockpicking only now (from Pyro's comment and Scott's responce on stream 7); - He believes that the Academy is alive in some sense. - (from cc!Scott) When he gets wet from water that isn't just a shower or a bath, it freezes very quickly and falls off of him as an ice crust. 👁 And then he shakes it off; - (from cc!Scott) He never used to mind the cold even before getting his magic, and now he's almost unaware of it, because he's literally unaffected; - He tells others that lava-like heat doesn't bother him if it doesn't last long, but even brief periods of it are bothering him because of sweat. He likes the fire in his room, but he's not so keen on the lava-like heat; 👁 Quite good with understanding non-speaking characters, as seen through Percy the pig and instances of communicating with mute guards without game chat; BUT - Doesn't know sign language (he understands guards' "signing" in game chat because Academy's magic is translating it); 👁 Good with his words, but it seems like he's not very successful with them when it's time to calm someone down; 👁 Has a good sence of direction; 👁 In every expedition tends to go ahead of group, far enough when he can't hear them, look around for a bit and then wait for people to catch up; 👁 When irritated with someone, shoots them with ice beam more often than not; 👁 Doesn't gatekeep knowledge (like rituals he finds out himself or new books), but shares it with the closest friends first; 👁 Keeps track on everyone when moving in group, usually the first to call out for strugglers and help them catch up. 👁 Calls the Academy home; 👁 Doesn't let himself process his negative emotions under the guise of "everything is fine and normal"; 👁 Seems like he's the type to distract himself from anything with more work; 👁 He often nods in a specific way - on screen his crosshair moves not strictly up and down, but slightly (but noticeably) diagonally. I like to imagine it as tf!Scott nodding with tilting his head on the side; 👁 When outside, he's often climbing to the highest spot available, even where there's no obvious reason to. Likes to perch on stair railings and ledges of towers.

Miscellaneous facts

- tf!Scott is based on Little Miss Perfect song; - Didn't leave Tegrith except for "occasional visit to his parents". - He isn't part of a lot of Tegrith traditions because he's not from there, but he wasn't outcasted or treated differently at any point; - In character, his stream chat is called snowflakes; - His dorm room is freezing and he doesn't notice how cold it is. Besides Scott, Pyro is the only person who can feel comfortable in there; - He doesn't know what "daily manifestations" means; - (from cc!Scott) In Pokemon trainer AU tf!Scott would have an Alolan Ninetales, while Pyro would have a normal one; 👁 It seems like he's never being thrown very far by Shelby's wind, landing somewhere in the middle-near back end of every group he's being thrown with; 👁 Current most popular excuse for cc!Scott's absence on server - tf!Scott was spending time in his dorm room.

Tegrith

Tegrith is a town located up north on tall mountains with snow, ice and harsh winters. They specialise in herding and farming cattle, sheep and goats, which they trade with neighbouring villages, towns and cities for grains, non-perishables and other stuff. They can't grow crops underground, so they rely heavily on trades.

The town is split across two locations: • Summer and spring town - on the surface It has viking style architecture and is used during spring and summer (mid-late March to early November), when townsfolk are able to farm resources, put animals into fields and trade them. Most of the time, half of summer is spent repairing damage from winter. • The underground (didn't learn its name, not confirmed if it has one) A giant hollowed out space under the mountain with town builds, heated up by volcanic rock below. From Pyro's words on stream 14, the underground area consists of caverns of different sizes, made by magma. Used during winter months. The livestock is kept there in small numbers to bring out later.

Everyone in Tegrith is pretty much born here or has family here. There's a lot of traditions based on this.

There's no pizza in here.

Corruption has reached Tegrith before Scott went to the Academy. It's at the old lake Scott and Pyro used to play at, "miles away from Summer Town". That old lake is gone. Some children (not Pyro's sister though) went to it to play, and "it was too late". That's why Scott went to the Academy. From tf!Scott's words, it isn't as bad as the one in the village near East shield tower (where Tim was and where Scott went on stream 9) and the winter and ice keep it from actively spreading cuz there's not much to grab onto, but summer time is dangerous. Currently things are fine and townsfolk can move into mountains if needed.

Onto ramblings about tf!Scott, I feel like he has a very interesting connection with a theme of control.

I've recently learned about a thing called locus of control, the personal belief about whether life events are happening due to your own actions (internal locus) or due to outside forces beyond your control (external locus). It's a spectrum, people have and use both locuses, but now we'll be looking much closer to the "internal" end of the spectrum.

People with internal locus of control look at their choices as being the driving force behind most things around them, including other people's actions and outside events. Was late? I took too long dressing up. Didn't win that spar? I should've trained more. Friends were hurt? I didn't warn them enough. Was left behind? There must be something I did wrong to deserve that. These people are action oriented, self-reliant and independent. They are good with taking responsibility and are pretty good at taking compliments or owning their accomplishments. They also really struggle with asking or receiving help, have a hard time moving on from mistakes and own all of their problems to default.

Does all of this remind you of someone? I'm, personally, thinking of a certain ice mage, who said "sorry, that's my bad" for spawning in a place where people are supposed to spawn after Recall, and who was visibly shaken after AJ's comment about pushing everyone away with his actions. The one who can't let people down and feels responsible for lives and well-being of total strangers, like capital citizens. If he's the one responsible for everything, to him it means his actions are also able to affect everything. It means he's in control.

So what happens when that's put at risk? When his own magic doesn't behave the way it supposed to? Then we see an observant man with a sharp mind suddenly ignoring a growing patch of ice in his room for days. "Sure, my room is covered in ice, but it's just because Aurora and I like it cold." We see him reading a book that describes his exact situation and the only lesson he learned from that being practice more. Snow flurries above his head are appearing and disappearing without his notice and oh how that fact irritates him.

He won't ever believe in prophecies, because they're taking his choice away. At desperate times he will grapple for reason, for hope - for anything really, because he can't afford to admit his incapability to affect something, he can't afford to not feel in control. How bad will it be for him to lose this feeling, how many pieces of himself has he woven together with its help? Will he manage, while learning about magic and dragons, to learn how to rely on others too?

Ice in the corner of his dorm room has spread enough to reach the wall at the room entrance. He's finally acknowledging it;

Pyro is noticeably missing from his life, keeps remembering about him or sometimes takes a second to look at his room door;

He makes an effort even when he's doing something he doesn't particularly like (no one asked that man to color match decorations he was forced to prepare for Lupi party);

He got better at his Frosted Treat spell, can make an ice cream every second or so;

Current most popular excuse for cc!Scott's absence on server - tf!Scott was spending time in his dorm room;

This stream he got a book named "Seren's First", written by Seren, ice mage from Fourfold Guard. It was about her magic and hunger for power, but also about how she slowly was losing control of it and how it killed her parents when they tried to make her stop practicing. "But magic does not love you back." (quote from that book);

He's saying to others that he's okay with heat like one from lava for not a prolonged period of time, but even short ones are bothering him because of sweat. He likes the fire in his room, but lava's heat - not so much;

When outside, it seems like he's often climbing to the highest spot available, even where there's no obvious reason to;

Weather forecast - a big rain of bricks, in an episode where Pyro decides to leave again. Today's heavy on angst and direct quotes.

He forms connections quickly and has a strong sense of duty and obligation to all he's connected to (as example, he feels he can't leave behind people in the Academy, the capital and the towns around);

(one big quote, "..." marks big pause before next sentence) "We've been through this before.. we'll get through it again. And what we've learned is to stop trusting people or hoping they'll change. Such an idiot. ... Is it.. is it silly I.. hope he does come back? ... Maybe it's better if he doesn't. ... I mean, hey, at least this way there'll be no one around to, melt my ice cream. ... There's gotta be some silver lining, right?"

He still has problems with Frostpath, can't master it as easily as his previous spells (it's behaving very finicky on technical territory and will probably be changed to be more comfortable to use soon, but it's fun to have this bit of info for possible headcanons);

Update on Tegrith: its underground area is most likely consist of caverns of different sizes, made by magma;

With all this new information about him, Scott Boralith, as a fictional character, is so dear to me.

Why did you turn out this way? So many stories are usually ready with an answer - because of unfairness, or betrayal, or another big or small or loud or quiet tragedy. But what if that tragedy never happened? What if you grew up in comfort and stability? What if you have family, friends and are sincerely loved then and now, still? Why then your mind is running all the time and you're so afraid of being left behind when nobody around you even plans to take a step? How much impact do you bear from an event you don't even remember? Can it be healed? Is there something to heal at all, or are you perfecly fine? And, if you really are fine... why did you turn out this way?

No enemy to hate, no fate to defy, no circumstances to blame. Never threatened, but still scared. Never ostracized, but still lonely. Always have someone to listen and console you, always have nothing to tell them. How much will you cry when you can find nothing to cry about?
