Wow it’s been a while since I posted! I started this blog out during finals season, and since then I’ve been moving around a lot and keeping busy. I do want to continue here though <3 thanks for all the follows and love while I’ve been away!
Reese Legacy: The Beginning
For as long as she could remember, Blossom Reese’s life was dictated by her parents. They told her how to act, how to dress, and who to be. Her parents believed the being realistic was the only thing that mattered. She needed a reasonable job, one that could help her take care of them in their old age. She needed a husband, someone handsome and well-off. Someone who would make her, and the family look good. She needed to look good, being modest and professional was the way to go.
Essentially, she needed to be everything that she wasn’t.
Blossom was a baker at heart. She had always loved food, and had a sweet tooth like no other. Her parents had always told her that baking was silly, frivolous, not something to make a job out of.
Blossom was also gay. She’d never been interested in men, or a husband, the way she was in women. She knew she could never be happy with a husband and a job that made her parents happy, but for so long she tried to convince herself she could.
Two and a half years into a her university degree, in a science program and a school that she hated, living at home with her overbearing parents and having no one but her younger brother to turn to, Blossom decided she’d had enough. If her parents wouldn’t accept her for who she was, then what was the point of trying?
She came out to her parents, she told them she dreamt of opening up a bakery and living her life her way. They told her in no uncertain terms that they would not stand by her if she did.
So she left. Blossom packed up a bag and left that life behind. She took the money that she saved working at a coffee shop for five years and she bought a small house and the bakery of her dreams.
And now, it’s time for her new life.
