There is this skillful Muslim seamstress who lived in Halab for fifteen years, and since she’s friend with my aunt, helped me with the realisation of my degree gowns. She’s really good in her job, but here, in Italy, she has to work as a cleaning lady because she can’t find a place where her work is needed! Some weeks ago she said we could work together in order to create a mini collection of clothes for the modern Muslim girl… at the moment I was so excited, but now? I AM PANICKING. I DON’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT MUSLIM TRADITION OR CLOTHING OR ELSE! These are just some of the sketches I made.
