Haven't done a lighting digital piece since then either so it may be off. This piece is kinda last minute as I forgot about this week until last week and life has been crazy even though I'm not an ao3 author anyway I speed drew this "little sketch" (jkjk... Maybe) last night so it's a bit crusty.... Anyway Enjoy!!

You already know how in love I am with the fanfic "Varian's Tangled Trials" by @/IFoundYouJustineTime and @/TheArtistsMuse on ao3 (aka @i-found-you-justine-time and @theartistswings) aaaaand to honour it I tried to make it into a real book (with permission from the creators of course). I started this project months ago but finally finished it last week. Turns out bookbinding is a lot more time consuming than I expected. Still, I'm really happy with the outcome & had lots of fun adding all the details like the fanart that I made either especially for the fic or that just fit the scenes, the maps, notes, little doodles on the chapter titles etc. This really was such a passion project and omg am I happy it's done. It will get a very special place on my bookshelf for sure!!

anon the fucking difference is that it's not a problem in relation to Hugo because he's Varian's PEER no matter what time of day in their lives they meet each other. Even if Varian met Hugo during the timeline of tts, they'd still work just fine dating because they'd both be teens and absolutely are okay to date as adults in the vat7k timeframe cuz they!! are!! nearly the same age!!!!!

but the same cannot be said for ships like varipunzel or cassarian, cuz even if Varian is now an adult, the truth still stands that all the other adults from the tts cast—as a matter of fact—KNEW HIM AS A CHILD. It's weird AS HELL to date someone you've met when they were a kid while you were in your 20s. ESPECIALLY if the said adult basically saw that said kid grow up into adulthood too. And then only started dating him when he reached legal age?? Do you know/see how BAD/icky that makes the adult tts characters look???
