New John Deere planter on my family's farm in Kansas.  With no trees or hills to block the sun, there is nothing like a Kansas sunset!

I photographed this a couple of weeks ago along the Blue Ridge Parkway just south of Asheville. I knew I wanted to photograph the gorgeous Fall colors, but it was so foggy and overcast. We cruised back and forth trying to find a great shot.

 Just as we approached an overpass, the clouds broke for a few moments to let some light through. This is the shot I got!

I just returned from a long, relaxing weekend in western NC.  We hiked Art Loeb trail while we were there and this was just a part of our amazing view.  The panoramic sights are out of this world.  Highly recommended to any mountain lovers out there!

Welcome to Kansas!  For me, this is the epitome of Kansas all wrapped up into one photo.  The dirt roads, tractor tire marks, flat land as far as the eye can see, and fields lining the road for miles and miles.  Who knew I could miss this and being out there on the farm?!
