The mastery of the KaTropa against June Mar Fajardo was still evident in Game 5.
Coach Nash Racela rotated three TNT big-men to make the Kraken exhausted inside the paint.
In the second quarter of their last game, San Miguel just converted 8 points as they find hard time to execute their leathal hi-low play.
Frank Golla, TNT’s off-season acquisition or before the start of 2016-17 PBA Philippine Cup gave his team an effective 3 minutes of playing time as he gave Fajardo difficulties operating in the post.
Despite of the defense thrown by Williams, Tautuaa and Golla, Fajardo still finished with a double-double performance.
He scored 13 points and grabbed 15 rebounds.
Kelly Williams, a former PBA Most Valuable Player turned back to hands of time as he scored a total of 18 points.

The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is scheduled for a Game 4 Semi-Finals round against the Purefoods Star Hotshots at 7:00 P.M. on February 15, 2017 in Mall of Asia Arena.
The continuation of the best-of-seven series between Ginebra and Star resumes today. Hotshots is currently leading with 2 games to 1.
Finally the “Never-Say-Die” team was able to snag one game last Monday. Probably the “lucky charm” of Joe Devance is now in full effect.
Both teams demonstrated a suffocating defense since the opening quarter until the end.
Defense is one of the reasons why these both teams currently in the Semis becuase they’re the best in the league.
Former Gilas forward Mark Pingris lead his team with 12 points and 18 rebounds but most importantly he was the Hotshots vocal leader inside the court.

Pingris told his teammates not to give up. “Maaga pa ‘to… walang susuko [it’s still early… don’t give up],” he said. The entire team responded as Star took the lead 51-50 at the end of the third quarter.
However, Coach Tim Cone was able to pull another spark from his bench and that’s non-other than “the Spark” himself, Mark Caguioa. Caguioa delivered 8 points in just less than 13 minutes of playing time.
The Spark initiated a Barangay Ginebra 14-0 run in the fourth quarter which puts Star Hotshots down for good. Sol Mercado led his team with 16 points, six of those points were crucial and it all came from the rainbow territory.
Ginebra will attempt to even the series this evening while Star wanted to get the commanding 3-1 advantage after the game.
