at this point I don’t even care about any of my ships being canon because all of these girls have such raw visceral moments together that it’s honestly better than a canon romantic relationship yk like. I feel like if some of these ships were to be canonically romantic it would actually somehow feel less meaningful than these continued deeper emotions. It’s all surpassed romance atp I’m not watching the show to watch these girls confess and kiss. I’m watching to see them be mirror images, tragic, doomed from the start, bonded so completely by trauma and desperation that the lines between platonic romantic and sexual all blur. I don’t ever expect traditional confirmation of my ships I expect it to be an overarching theme and honestly? That’s kind of better. Like, they’re romantic in the sense that their actions make zero sense from a wholly platonic standpoint, but how could you not be a little in love with the people you went through that kind of trauma with? The only ones who understand you are the ones who were with you and thats a love all on its own. Its why they all stayed in contact even years later. Even if they hated each other in the wilderness, tried to kill each other even, there is still love, because there’s no way for there not to be. Other ships are canon in the sense that they are dating. These ships are canon in the sense that they shattered so badly pieces of them are embedded in each other. Pierced right in the heart, both creating a wound and stopping the bleeding.
