I'm a geeky college student (engineering major) who likes bad puns and cartoons. I draw crappy fan art (getting better though) and reblog stuff that is way better than what I can do. Right now I'm really into Rick and Morty, Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, Undertale, Disney, Kingdom Hearts, and Doctor Who.

I think the point is why does it have to be SUPER “manly” for some guys to feel comfortable. Why not just a solid color? Maybe blue or purple? Or just black? Like if your masculinity is that fragile that you feel you NEED to have this to prove you’re a man then your mentality is kinda toxic.

Maybe it is just an aesthetic some people, mostly guys, like and it has nothing to do with shame or gender politics or masculinity.

Sure there's some cases of guys who are weird and have toxic masculinity and all that.

But have you ever stopped to think that maaaaaybe some people might just enjoy the look of camo and stuff like that?

This is the same site that has posts about drowning in glitter and wanting unicorn/rainbow covered pads. How come those are considered normal desires here but guys are considered abnormal and toxic for things like this?

Stanford: research blog, preset theme, every post is like two miles long because Ford types too much. 

Stan: the dutuchess approved fan blog, sometimes sends Ford weird anon messages that read like a shitpost 

Dipper: constanly adds little notes to Ford’s posts, mostly a conspirarcy theory blog lots of big foot and moth man memes “If Mirrors Aren’t Real Then Are Our Eyes Real.“ 

Mabel: aesthetic blog with custom cute theme, pastels up to your chin sometimes will reblog Dipper’s posts w/ the occasional "yikes" 

Bill: "welcome to my twisted mind” uses incredibly bright colors for his theme and loud music plays when you open his blog it’s the worst. adds dumb comments to Ford’s posts.

Yes, but consider this. Ford Drew hundreds of detailed illustrations for his journals. Talented drawings. And that was just when he was gonna be the only one seeing it. Ford is an art nerd.

His blog would have the most elaborate theme. And almost as much drawings and art as research. And that nerd definitely would be mixing fan art and opinions on pop culture in there.

He'd have a 9 page research paper on the chupacabra, a rant on Star Wars the Last Jedi, a detailed illustration of a thought to be extinct species of fish, and a gemsona all right in a row.

Exercise is fucking important. good diet is fucking important therapy is fucking important. WHY???

because pills alone don’t help. they improve the hormonal imbalance (as does exercise and good diet which ALSO are a form of very real self care as your physical being is sorta connected to your mental one but go fucking figure right?), but guess what? the suicidal thoughts, the thoughts of harm, the thoughts of hating yourself, they’re still there.  suicides actually increase when medicated.  why? because suddenly you have the energy to fulfill thoughts of harming yourself.  which is why you NEED therapy alongside pills.

it has taken you years, or decades to create your maladaptive thought processes and behaviours.  that shit doesn’t disappear overnight. core beliefs don’t change overnight. these are the very fucking core of your personhood, your being and personality. THAT TAKES TIME TO CHANGE
