My great-grandmother was one of the first graduates at Florida State back when it was a college for women, in 1923. I graduated in 1999 with the same degree she held. My grandfather played for FSU's first football team in 1947, was a co-captain, and threw the first completed pass in FSU's history. He later was an assistant coach at Florida State after he graduated and went on to earn his master's degree. My sister Renae received her bachelor's, then master's from FSU; my sister Julia her bachelor's, and FSU is where I met my husband, who is also an alum from '99. I am a Nole when we're down, when we're up, and everywhere inbetween. I'm proud to be a #nolegirl and be a part of such an esteemed university that is a huge influence in The South, in football, and in entertainment. Florida State Seminoles, forever.
