"Let me taste it."
“Let’s go...!”
“BEYOND!”
“Hey it’s a fight between two Alter users, whaddya say?”
‘I won’t let you.
I’ll stop you here and now.’
“You are a natural.”
“It is my duty to expurge that evil!”
This one really gets to me.

It’s my birthday today! Yay!!
As a special gift to myself, I’m gonna be watching anime for most of the day, and hopefully I’ll also find some cool shots to make into gifs!
(And I think I will, because the first anime I’m watching is Kill La Kill and it’s already got super awesome action shots!!)
It took me a full month, but I’ve finally managed to make my way through One Piece episodes 584-705, for a total of 121 episodes!
A lot of characters have been introduced, and some old characters have been really fleshed out as well (like Law and Doflamingo), but that means that certain Straw Hat crew members have been relegated to having zero screen time for the last 30(?) or so episodes while we watch other people’s fights.
It also made me remember the biggest problem I have with One Piece as an anime: the pacing has become absolutely horrible! In the two years worth of episodes, there has only been a single new arc introduced, and even then it’s filled with countless flashbacks to things that happened in a very recent episode, or sometimes even just a few minutes before!
I still think One Piece is an amazing shounen anime, and probably the best long-running series that I’ve seen, but I definitely think that watching it hundreds of episodes at a time is the only way to really enjoy the content without being constantly blue-balled with anticipation and cliffhangers.
I’ll be looking forward to catching up with it again in another couple of years!
