Anakin’s wings were messy. They itched like a hundred bug bites, pulling uncomfortably at his skin no matter how he readjusted his fledging wings. The newly grown feathers needed preening more than ever, but Anakin just couldn’t get the hang of it. Any attempt to fix his feathers made them worse. Every time he slid his fingers into the fluff, the light brush feeling foreign, he inevitably pulled wrong and worsened the stinging.
