BIO
Ophelia was born in Portland, Maine. When she was a child, her parents took her to see The Nutcracker every year during Christmastime. Every year after seeing it, she’d beg her parents endlessly to take her to ballet lessons. The dancers looked so beautiful on the stage, twinkling under the warm stage lights- and Ophelia wanted to be like them.
By the age of 7, she’d won the battle of wills with her parents, and took ballet lessons every day after school. She worked hard to catch up with the other girls physically, but the understanding of ballet came almost naturally to her.
She practiced almost every day, eventually leaving her home in Maine to go to the School of American Ballet in New York at the age of 13. She stayed there for years, living in the dorms, working hard to become a member of the company when she was old enough.
Although, the ballet life wasn’t what she thought it would be when she was hired in to the company. The producer came onto her, offering to help her become a prima ballerina if she ‘helped him’. She refused and she’d packed up her life by the end of the night.
She didn’t tell her parents, or anyone, what happened, only that she’d heard of better opportunities in Southern California- as far away from that company as she could get. Her parents weren’t comfortable with her moving to Los Angeles, but found a listing for a nice place in Aurora Bay. Seven months ago, she moved in.
Ophelia decidedly did not want to talk. Not with that look on her face. Avery’s eyes widened and she continued to back away, keeping a distance between them. When Ophelia pounced, Avery managed to just avoid her. She squealed and started to run, determined to keep her body free of flour for as long as possible. She ran through the apartment, leaping over the furniture (and leaving more flour stains along the way), but she could only run for so long before she found herself trapped in a corner.
“Phe, please no,” she pleaded, her puppy dog eyes on full blast, pretending as if this were life and death. “I’m sorry!” (She wasn’t.) Her hands were held out in front of her as a last ditch attempt to keep Ophelia away. It was impossible for her to contain her laughter though—having way too much fun with evil Ophelia out to murder her with floury gropes. "Why don't we call it a truce? I mean, isn't all of this so childish?"
Ophelia raced after Avery, moving her short legs as fast as they could go, laughing as she skirted around the furniture. "Get back here-" She managed to muscle out between giggles as she passed Pawdme, who looked at the couple briefly before returning to her nap.
"You're sorry? Is that so?" Once Avery was cornered, she listened to her pleas, having absolutely no intention of backing off. Her mock serious expression shattered like thin glass once Avery started laughing. "A truce? You know... You're so right. This is so silly." She nodded, brows furrowing as she took a few small steps closer. She dodged Avery's hands, taking Avery's face in her own sweetly, smearing flour all over them. "But I'm even sillier- SO-" She pressed a kiss to her girlfriend's lips, letting her floury hands move to her chest, giving a playful squeeze. "Sike. You admit defeat!"
Ophelia stopped scrolling through her phone, taking out one earbud as she looked over at the woman. “Oh, well what do you usually get?” She smiled gently, pausing her music and placing her earbuds back in their case. “My usual is an iced latte, but when I want to have something fun to drink, I ask for a raspberry mocha. I like my coffee sweet though.”
“I usually get a black coffee because it’s quick to make and get to go. “ she said with a shrug. Her quickly shifted between the board behind the barista and back to Ophelia. “A raspberry mocha? Now that i’ve never heard of before. Sounds pretty interesting.Im assuming its just a mocha drink with raspberry flavoring in it?”
Ophelia could only admire people who drank black coffee, it was a strength she didn't possess. Just too bitter. So, instead, she tends to drink coffee concoctions that are mostly almond milk and sugar. "Yeah, like three pumps of it, if they ever ask how much to put in." She stepped towards the counter, next in line.
She smiled over at the woman, "I'll get two, if you want, so you can try it out." The good day she had been having only made her want to pay it forward, plus she really liked giving gifts to people.
Ophelia spent the car ride tracing little patterns and secret messages along the fronts and backs of Avery's hands as they talked. She just couldn't stop touching her.
The night had left her heart so full, with so much happiness and thoughts about the future, it was hard to keep it all in. These little caresses along Avery's hands were her affectionate siphon to make sure she wouldn't burst.
And, to make it even worse, Avery looked so hot in a button up shirt, and she couldn't resist shamelessly looking her over as Avery talked.
She pressed a few soft kisses to her hand as they pulled up to the building, glancing up at her as her lips touched her skin. She only released her hand when she moved to get out of the car, only to reconnect them as they walked inside.
She looked at the buttons on the elevator, and said playfully, "Hold on- I think I've got it." She hovered her finger above a button, looking to Avery to see if she got it right. One more up. Close.
"Even better," She breathed a soft laugh, pressing it quickly. As soon as the doors were closed, Ophelia gently pushed Avery against the elevator's wall and captured her lips. She couldn't wait another second.
AVERY
Avery had to admit, the kiss caught her by complete surprise and she didn't even try to contain the moan that left her lips as she crashed against the back of the elevator. She had done this way too many times to Ophelia that it was kind of deserved that she would be given the same treatment eventually.
She placed her hands on Ophelia's ass and squeezed, pulling her closer as she deepened the kiss, more than happy to end the night by celebrating in her New York home. After a few seconds, she flipped them around so that Ophelia was pressed against the wall instead. She broke the kiss, her eyes darkened with desire. "I want you," she breathed, not at all shy to confess to how much she desired Ophelia… like all the time.
It wasn't really her fault that she loved Ophelia so deeply and that her desire for her was just an extension of that.
When the elevator dinged, Avery grabbed Ophelia's hand and practically yanked her out the door. She couldn't get her own apartment door opened quickly enough and the moment they were both inside, Ophelia was back against the door, her lips captured in a kiss, and Avery's hand already sliding up her hips and under her dress.
OPHELIA
Ophelia's fingers weaved into Avery's hair, her grip tightening a little as she felt her girlfriend draw her in closer. She moaned as her back hit the wall, happy to hand the power over to Avery.
She looked up at her girlfriend through her eyelashes, each word sending a wave of warmth rippling through her. "Take me, then." She breathed, a challenging smile on her face, already pulling her back in for another kiss, "I'm all yours." She had said it before, when the first declaration of love had almost slipped past her lips, and it still rung true. She'd given Avery her heart, and rest of her followed along happily.
Ophelia giggled as she was yanked out of the elevator, pressing kisses along her shoulder and neck, squeezing her hips gently as Avery unlocked the door. Before she could tease her much further, the door was closed behind her, and was drowning in Avery's kiss.
She deepened the kiss immediately and made quick work of Avery's shirt buttons. If she knew that Avery had a replacement shirt on standby for the following night she might've accidentally popped a few buttons off in her haste. With the buttons intact, she pushed the shirt off of Avery's shoulders, her hands roaming to her chest and squeezing.
AVERY
Avery's hands only pulled back for Ophelia to rid her of her shirt, happy to have Ophelia touch her more directly. She continued to kiss her girlfriend, her hand returning to her hips before sliding up her inner thigh. For someone who personally despised wearing dresses, she was never against Ophelia wearing them because it just made for easier access. All it took was for her fingers to push aside the thin material of her panties before her fingers were running through Ophelia's wetness.
"Fuck, Phe, you're always so ready for me," she moaned, her fingers slipping easily into Ophelia. It definitely supported Ophelia's claim that she was hers. The thought of it spurred the possessive side of Avery and she jumped into action. She didn't waste time and began to pump, her thumb rolling at Ophelia's clit as it met it. They had all night to enjoy each other but Avery was too eager to make Ophelia come to even get them past the living area.
She broke the kiss and met Ophelia's eyes. "Say it again," she breathed. "Say that you're mine." Her fingers didn't stop moving, forcing Ophelia to speak through the pleasure. She loved the woman so much and nothing made her happier than knowing it was returned in kind.
OPHELIA
Ophelia's hips rolled needily against Avery's hand, the words mixed with the delicious caresses only making her melt. Gentle swears escaped her lips as she chased the high Avery was steadily pushing her toward. "Fuck~ Always. Always."
She moaned gently against her lips, too lost in the sensations Avery was gifting her, only to give a small, disappointed whine when she pulled away. She looked up at Avery, the soft command only making her melt more. "I-- oh fuck," Avery hit a familiar, lovely spot inside of her, making her face contort as her head leaned against the door.
AVERY
Despite the self-inflicted interruption, Avery didn't pause her actions, wanting Ophelia to push through them. "You, what, Ophelia?" Avery challenged, her voice low and possessive, almost a growl as she continued to steadily pump her fingers, still hitting that sweet spot she knew would make Ophelia lose herself. Still, she wasn't going to move any faster until Ophelia said it. She would leave her in a limbo of frustration until Ophelia felt those words more clearer than ever.
Needless to say, Avery thrived in the power she had over her girlfriend and the way Ophelia so freely gave it. It wasn't uneven, however as Ophelia knew how much of a power she had over Avery as well. Ophelia had gotten daring, teasing, challenging, as if always wanting to push Avery one step further. How else could Avery interpret her constantly teases but as Ophelia's own desire for more? As always, Avery sought to satisfy her love and would happily followed her into oblivion.
OPHELIA
The growl, the hot breaths that hit her face, the possessive, challenging tone- each one sent a shiver down her spine, landing between her legs.
"Yours." She breathed quietly, trying to come back from the haze just enough to form a coherent sentence. Her hips moved on their own, silently begging for Avery to go faster. Her eyes locked with Avery's once more with heavy lids as she tried to push through. After one or two failed attempts at the start, she was finally able to whimper, "I'm yours. All yours." Avery hit that sweet spot again, and she arched into the touch, breathing out, "Avery-- Please. Faster. More."
AVERY
Ophelia’s submission to her was truly music to Avery’s ears and she shivered, almost faltering from how hot it was to hear those words from Ophelia. “And I, yours,” she softly replied, giving Ophelia a second to process it before her hand started moving faster and harder, giving Ophelia permission to finally come.
When she finally did, Avery let Ophelia ride out her orgasm before making a point to strip off her panties and toss them to the side. “You’re not going to be needing those anymore,” she teased. She took Ophelia’s hand and led them upstairs towards the bed. Helping Ophelia out of her dress was next and it wasn’t long before Ophelia was sitting on her bed naked.
There was always something fun about having Ophelia so exposed while Avery herself was barely unclothed.
She knelt on one leg in front of her girlfriend and met her eyes, her own glimmering with love. It was a love that Avery happily submitted to. “You’re so beautiful, Phe. I still can’t believe you’re mine.” Despite the words Ophelia uttered, there were always moments where Avery would be struck with such awe that even reality was difficult to accept. She reached up and cupped her girlfriend’s cheek before brushing her hair away from her face, just happy to look at her. “I love you.”
OPHELIA
Ophelia leaned into the touch, pressing a soft kiss to the inside of her hand. "You're so beautiful," she countered. She looked over Avery's face, a warmth blooming in her chest as she felt her affection and adoration only grow for the woman in front of her. "I love you too."
She reached out and cupped her face gently, smiling as she peppered gentle kisses around Avery's face. "In fact," A few more kisses to her temple, cheek, and lips, "I think I was made to love you too." She recalled Avery's words from earlier, that hadn't left her alone since she said them. She pulled away from her path of soft kisses against Avery's face, her warm, dark eyes glimmering with the same emotion. "You'd better believe it. I'm yours."
AVERY
Gosh, it was really impossible not to fall deeper and deeper in love with the woman in front of her. She pushed herself off her knee and kissed Ophelia, using the momentum to nudge her back onto the bed so that she could climb on top of her. Once they were both fully on the bed, she began trailing her lips along Ophelia’s jaw, repeating the words, “I love you,” between every kiss. She couldn’t stop saying them and wanted Ophelia to hear how she felt.
She also wanted her to feel how she felt.
She continued to trail her lips downwards, every kiss still marked with a declaration of love. She loved every piece of Ophelia and wanted her to know how much she appreciated every inch of her body. She kissed down her neck and stopped between her chest, finding the heartbeat beneath with her lips. Her eyes went up and she smiled. “Thank you for keeping my heart safe,” she said, pretty darn sure hers was there and no longer in her own chest. Ophelia possessed her heart and Avery didn’t want it any other way.
OPHELIA
Soft sighs and little giggles escaped Ophelia's lips as Avery kissed all over her neck and chest. Her face flushed pink from all the affection, her hand running gently through Avery's hair as she left little declarations of love along her neck.
"Thank you for keeping mine safe," She giggled gently, looking down at her. Then her playful tone turned soft. It was still light, but each word was true, "I'll cherish it. And protect it with my life." She hooked her finger under Avery's chin, pulling her back up to give her another kiss. "I love you."
AVERY
“Always,” Avery promised. She had no intentions of ever breaking Ophelia’s heart and she would protect it with her life.
She gave in to Ophelia’s kiss, letting it interrupt her flow, but she eventually returned back to kissing her way down Ophelia’s body, wanting to mark every inch with her love. By now she had fully mapped out Ophelia’s body in her mind but she would never get bored of it.
Avery continued to kiss along her body, bending her legs upwards so that she could kiss them as well, starting with her upper legs, her hips and her thighs, before moving down to her shin and calf. Ophelia was so fucking beautiful and she wanted every part of her to feel it—even if her actions were bordering more on sweet rather than sexy and potentially ruining the mood in favour of giggles.
OPHELIA
Each little kiss made little sparks of warmth run through her. It was like her body reacted to Avery's touch on its own, at this point. Her breath deepened and she arched into the kisses, wanting to give each one a warm welcome as Avery moved her way down her. Well, save from when her lips ghosted over some ticklish spots on the sides of her stomach.
She watched Avery paint a lovely picture on her skin, brows mildly furrowing in confusion when her girlfriend continued to kiss further down her leg. "Where are you--" She giggled, the flush on her cheeks only growing deeper as she reached her calf. A part of her wanted to pull away, but that part was tiny and she easily told it to shut up. Instead, she simply covered her face with her hands to hide her blush.
AVERY
Being the ballerina that she was, Ophelia was very aware and confident in her body, but that confidence made it all the more easier for Avery to recognize when something was not the same. She noticed whenever she touched Ophelia’s feet that her girlfriend would tense and clearly resist the urge to pull away.
It wasn’t because they were ticklish and Avery could only imagine why she felt insecure about them. They held on to most of her weight for hours a day and it was only natural that they bore the bruises of her passion. When Avery first started violin, her fingers were no different, often callused and damaged from the strain from having to fight against sharp strings—and tense strings were nothing compared to the weight of an entire body.
She continued to kiss lower, her lips reaching Ophelia’s ankles and her feet. Her proclamations of love continued, letting Ophelia know that she loved every part of her, including her feet, before kissing her way back up again. She wouldn’t dwell, not wanting Ophelia to feel too uncomfortable. She found Ophelia’s inner thigh and began ghosting her lips to the place Ophelia had originally expected them—she kissed her there too. With Ophelia’s legs over her shoulders, she finally dived in, putting her tongue to use against her clit and folds as her lips took a break.
OPHELIA
Ophelia peeked through her fingers, her face softened as Avery continued to kiss down her leg with intention, the few little kisses saying thousands of words to her. Every day, just when she thought she couldn't feel more deeply for the girl before her, she was proven wrong. She let her hands fall to the pillow above her, and watched the final few kisses at the end of her leg.
There was no way to say what she felt. She wanted Avery. She wanted her goofy puns. She wanted her sweet smiles. Her stubborn ways, which only got more stubborn when she tried to help someone. The way she lit up when she saw an animal of any size. The little rhythmic idle movements of her hands when she was bored.
All of her.
She wanted to come home to see her cuddling with Pawdme years from now. Both of them doing their respective art at night and spending every morning together. Morning jogs and giggles over breakfast.
And she wanted to give her the world, all that she could.
But words were failing her, too overwhelmed from the endless proclamations and her own emotions. "I love you too," Was all she could think to say. There would be a time for that conversation further down the line.
They had time.
She shivered as she felt Avery's lips ghost along her thigh. Ophelia brought one hand down to weave her fingers through her hair, her hips moving on their own to meet Avery's tongue, her heel pressing gently against Avery's back to keep her in place. She delicately breathed her girlfriend's name, before she was interrupted by a moan escaping her lips.
AVERY
Avery was so easily encouraged by Ophelia’s hands, every little movement directing her better than Ophelia probably knew she was. Despite being the clear top of this relationship, she followed Ophelia’s lead more than her words led either of them to believe and all she did was in service of Ophelia’s pleasure as much as her own. Frankly, she wouldn’t have had it any other way. Her love language was acts of service and it was especially powerful with physical ones.
She continued her work on Ophelia’s clit, reaching up to cup her breast and play with her nipple as well. By now, she didn’t even need to see Ophelia’s reactions, the feel of her hands and hips enough to tell her how far she had gotten and how much more she required to tip her over the edge. No matter how much she learned about her girlfriend, however, it would never be enough. She wanted to learn everything—to love everything.
She continued to go at it—faster and harder—until she finally felt the tremble and dance of Ophelia’s orgasm crash over her, her hand keeping Ophelia firmly in place as she worked her down from it. It was so natural and easy that Avery no longer made a big deal of it, happily kissing her way back up Ophelia’s body before connecting their lips again, giving Ophelia a taste of her own pleasure.
Not to leave her wanting, however, Avery’s hand was already sneaking back down, her fingers taking advantage of Ophelia’s post-orgasm wetness to slip in again, her pumps even and tempered, wanting to build her right back up.
OPHELIA
Ophelia melted into her touch, her grip tightening in her hair as she got closer and closer to her peak. She only lost herself more to the pleasure and bliss when she felt her girlfriend's hand cup her breast, her back arching to meet the touch eagerly.
And when her orgasm washed over her, the waves just kept coming. She moaned against Avery's lips, feeling the fourth or fifth one rip through her. "A- Aves," She breathed gently, almost interrupted by another gentle moan. "I want to taste you. Please." The plea came out soft, almost a whimper from how sensitive she was. "Please." She mumbled again against Avery's lips, not afraid of how desperate she might sound as she begged.
AVERY
Any sexual encounter that didn’t result in at least ten orgasms for Ophelia meant something was wrong and since this moment was amazing, getting half way there before Ophelia begged to switch it up was acceptable in Avery’s eyes. Admittedly, the orgasm ratio was always skewed in Ophelia’s favour because Avery selfishly loved giving Ophelia orgasms. She wanted her girlfriend to feel good and endeavoured to make it happen as often and frequently as possible.
As Ophelia came down from her most recent orgasm, Avery listened to her pleas and smiled against her lips, giving her another kiss. “Only because I love you,” she agreed, sitting up. Ophelia deserved a moment to catch her breath so she did the boring stuff without her. She undid her bra and tossed it to the side before undoing her pants and discarding them with her panties. She leaned over Ophelia again, her hand running through her hair in an effort to control it. “How do you want me, Phe? I’m all yours.”
OPHELIA
Ophelia pushed herself up onto her elbows, regaining her breath as she watched Avery's clothes hit the floor. Her lip caught between her teeth as a smile crept onto her face. Even after seeing Avery naked so many times, she still felt that giddy, awestruck rush of warmth flood through her every time.
"God, you're so hot-" She breathed gently, shamelessly letting her eyes drift over Avery's face and body as she laid herself back onto the bed. She was too awestruck by Avery's beauty, she had completely forgotten anything that might've resembled a plan.
Hearing that little three word phrase, Ophelia knew immediately why Avery liked to hear it so much, the flush to her cheeks showing Avery just how much she liked it. She scooted down a little on the bed, a playful smile tugging on her lips as she pulled her hair down towards her shoulders. "Right here." She pointed to her face, her little smile becoming more cheeky by the second. "Have a seat. Please."
AVERY
Avery blinked, needing a few seconds to realize what Ophelia was asking her to do. When she finally did, her eyes widened and she gave a little “Oh.” For all their sexual adventures, they actually hadn’t done this before so it took Avery a bit by surprise. Still, it was Ophelia and Avery was always comfortable enough to try anything with her. She leaned forward and gave Ophelia another quick kiss before whispering, “As you wish.”
There was really no sexy way to have a seat so Avery giggled as she carefully maneuvered herself over Ophelia’s head. She reached down and helped Ophelia with her hair as she did, making sure she didn’t actually accidentally kneel on it. After getting into position, she paused for a moment looking down at Ophelia and giggling. “Enjoy the view?” She reached down and weaved her finger’s through Ophelia’s hair, feeling the need to hold something. “Just let me know if you need me to reposition or move a certain way, ok?” They were new to this so Avery wasn’t completely sure how it worked.
With Ophelia’s approval, she lowered herself over Ophelia’s face, keeping only the slightest distance so that Ophelia had room to figure things out on her end.
OPHELIA
Ophelia's hands ran along Avery's legs, her eyes darkening as a hunger grew deep within her. She would never tire of looking at her gorgeous girlfriend, even as they grew more and more comfortable. Every time she looked at Avery, she felt the same warmth rush through her like it was the very first time.
She must've been staring- how could she not? "Absolutely," She giggled, pressing a soft, sweet kiss to the inside of her thigh, humming gently as she felt her fingers weave through her hair. "You're so fucking gorgeous," She breathed gently, still feeling incredibly lucky to be blessed with this view.
A soft smile pulled on her lips as she listened to Avery, her heart warming with how much she cared. "I will, I promise." She laughed gently, settling into the bed even more to ready herself. "And if this doesn't feel right for you and you want to lay down, we can move." She gave Avery's thigh a reassuring squeeze before she pressed her lips to the inside of Avery's leg again, this time trailing her lips up to encourage her to come down.
Once she was close enough, Ophelia closed the distance between them. She took her time at first, letting her tongue dance through her folds, her breath dancing over her clit as she made her way towards it. She didn't keep Avery waiting too long, however. She worked her tongue against Avery's clit just how she knew Avery liked it, gripping her legs to encourage her to come further down.
AVERY
Avery shivered when she felt Ophelia’s tongue hit her, already knowing that this was going to be quite an experience. She had so much control from her position up top and didn’t know how she was going to use it. It was their first time trying this so she knew part of her might worry about Ophelia’s comfort a bit too much to fully enjoy herself but she would try her best to do the latter, knowing it was what her girlfriend wanted.
When Ophelia finally reached for her clit, Avery instinctively shifted away, her body just reacting on its own at the surprise. Still, with her hand in Ophelia’s hair, she was cognizant of how much Ophelia had to strain her neck upwards so she lowered herself even further, her free hand reaching for the headboard as she steadied herself. She remained practically frozen as she focused her mind on the pleasure, helping her get rid of some of the stiffness of her fear.
“Keep going, Phe,” she reassured, wanting Ophelia to know that she just needed more time to get used to things and that she might not react as expected until she was.
OPHELIA
Ophelia looked up at Avery, concerned for a moment that this might've been too much. But her worries were soothed as Avery lowered herself further onto her face, her words slightly muffled from the legs against her ears.
She happily continued, letting her tongue dance along her folds, only grazing over her clit occasionally. She didn't want to focus too much on the sensitive nub as she was getting comfortable, so she focused elsewhere. She was happy to just let her tongue roam for however long, no reason to rush.
AVERY
When it seemed like Ophelia was relaxing into it, Avery also let herself relax. She closed her eyes and focused on Ophelia’s tongue and the way it was teasing through her folds. It felt nice and not too intense, allowing for a laziness to set in that was just soft enough to make it comfortable. She continued to hold onto the headboard, using it for extra balance and control over her own body.
Once Avery was able to take a few deep breaths and calmed herself, she tightened her grip in Ophelia’s hair and nudged her head upwards, directing her back to her clit. She even chanced a further lowering, pressing herself closer to Ophelia’s face and meeting her tongue.
OPHELIA
Avery's grip in her hair elicited a small moan from her lips, her own grip on Avery's legs tightening a little as her girlfriend sunk lower. She didn't miss the subtle command for her to bring her touch up. But, being the sweet little brat she was, she stalled for a small moment.
She let her tongue lazily circle around her clit, her eyes fluttering open to steal another glance at Avery. After another moment of her soft teasing, she let her tongue glide over Avery's clit gently.
AVERY
Avery had learned by now that Ophelia occasionally liked to be a brat and without even seeing her face, she could feel the playful smile coming from below. If this was just any other moment, Avery might have pushed it a little, make Ophelia regret being a brat, but they were trying something new so both of them deserved patience and a chance to fully enjoy the experience in whichever way they wanted.
Still, she held power over her girlfriend without needing to wield it physically. When Ophelia’s tongue finally hit her clit, she moaned, gripping her hair even tighter as a little reward for finally doing what was requested. “Please, Phe.” If Ophelia wanted Avery to fuel her on, she would do just that, while still being careful enough not to accidentally hurt her in the position they were in.
OPHELIA
Ophelia moaned against her skin, any trace of her desire to be a brat leaving her system as Avery's plea hit her ears. While pushing and playing was fun, she also knew when to behave and do exactly what was asked of her.
And so she did, she worked her tongue against the sensitive spot dutifully, humming gently against the skin as the pressure increased. She wanted to reach up and let her hands roam, add any sensations that would help push Avery even closer to the edge. But, since her arms were pinned down next to her body, all she could do was slide her hands up along her legs to her ass.
AVERY
The plea was clearly enough for Ophelia because she immediately responded, giving Avery exactly what she wanted. Avery moaned as Ophelia went after her clit, waves of pleasure coursing through her at every flick. Despite being careful, she had trouble controlling the way her hips would dip even further to meet Ophelia’s tongue, increasing the pace and strength of it herself as she practically rode Ophelia’s face.
And, fuck, that itself was a super hot thought.
It didn’t take long at all before Avery was pushed to her peak and a large jolt of pleasure rushed through her, her entire body tensing, causing her walls to clench and release a gush of juices. Her hand remained tightly in Ophelia’s hair as her orgasm pulsed and it took a few seconds before Avery came to and released her. She opened her glossed eyes and looked down at Ophelia, her face red as she goofily smiled at her girlfriend. “I think I’ve found my favourite seat.”
OPHELIA
With every dip and roll of Avery's hips, Ophelia matched the pressure and energy. Her hands squeezed Avery's ass as she practically rode her face, not wanting her girlfriend to hold back in the slightest. If she died, she'd die happy. Each little dip made her squeeze her thighs together, too focused on her girlfriend's pleasure to do anything about the ache growing between her legs.
She continued until she felt Avery tense up, not relenting until her girlfriend had been pushed past her peak. She gasped gently as a slick warmth slid down her chin and neck, down to pool in her clavicle, the moment searing into her mind. She wanted to remember it forever. The sensations, the sounds- the sight. Avery looked stunning, coming undone above her. She moaned against Avery's skin, helping her ride out her high for as long as she needed.
A goofy smile that matched Avery's graced her own face, licking her lips clean as she listened to her girlfriend, her skin glistening with the juices she released. She scooted up on the bed a little, leaning up onto her elbows. "I could tell you were having fun up there," She teased, pressing a soft kiss to her hip, looking down at the mess on her neck and chest for a moment before looking back up at Avery. She giggled gently, letting her fingers trace idle patterns into the skin of her leg and hip, "I'm glad, my love. This seat is open for you whenever you'd like."
AVERY
With Ophelia’s new position and having had time to take a breath, Avery realized that she had made a bit of a mess. A dark blush coated her cheeks as she removed herself, immediately leaning over to grab a tissue so that she could wipe away the mess she made on Ophelia. She giggled as she did so, “Oh gosh, this is kind of embarrassing,” she confessed. Avery knew she enjoyed it but her body apparently wanted to scream it. Fortunately, she knew Ophelia didn’t mind and that it wasn’t actually that embarrassing.
When she was done, she laid down on her side next to Ophelia. Her hand went down to trace lazy patterns along her girlfriend’s skin, wanting to just touch her. “I love you.” She leaned forward and met Ophelia’s lips, the kiss slow as her hand ran down Ophelia’s back. She gripped the back of Ophelia’s knee and pulled it to rest over her hips, giving her fingers room to run through Ophelia’s soaked folds. They still had a few Ophelia orgasms to go through and Avery was nothing if not dutiful.
“Come for me,” Avery ordered. And Ophelia would. Again and again.
Farah waited in line to order her cup of coffee but there were so many choices. Normally, she’d make her own, same everyday coffee but today she wanted to try something different. She just didn’t know what was good and what wasn’t. She turns to the person closest to her and asked, “From these choices, which do you recommend to get for someone who usually has the same cup everyday and wants to change it up a bit?”
Ophelia stopped scrolling through her phone, taking out one earbud as she looked over at the woman. "Oh, well what do you usually get?" She smiled gently, pausing her music and placing her earbuds back in their case. "My usual is an iced latte, but when I want to have something fun to drink, I ask for a raspberry mocha. I like my coffee sweet though."
Avery's cheeks were puffed as she resisted the urge to laugh at the white handprint that was now proudly featured on Ophelia's ass. Her girlfriend should have known better than to invite her into the kitchen, really, so she was not liable for the mess that she was making (even if everything she was doing was very intentional).
Before Ophelia could get her back, she had picked up the whisk and held it up like a weapon in her defence. "Your ass was just there and so smack-able..." she innocently and matter-of-factly explained, backing away from her girlfriend to avoid Ophelia's wrath.
Truthfully, she loved ridiculous moments of domesticity like this. They didn't have to be out exploring or having sexual adventures in the bedroom--it was enough just to spend time with Ophelia, to be comfortable in their own home and to be downright silly. As long as they were both smiling and happy, Avery was satisfied and wouldn't trade it for the world.
"Can you pass me the-" Ophelia yelped as she felt the sharp sting, which quickly radiated into a dull, warm pain. She stared at the cookie dough in front of her for a moment, a breathless laugh slipping past her lips. She turned to look at Avery over her shoulder, a faux anger overlaid on her playful tone, "Ma'am." She began to inch towards her, her eyes narrowing into a glare, only able to kind of hold back her smile.
She looked down at the whisk as it was brought up in front of her face, "No need for that- come on- I just want to talk." She held out her flour covered hands out, taking another step closer, that mischevious smile of hers tugging on her lips. "I just want to talk-" She lunged once she thought she was close enough, hands aiming for Avery's chest.
Avery could tell that Ophelia needed a distraction so she closed her eyes again and allowed herself to imagine their future. “We would move into my loft. It’s probably a bit small to have a dog but maybe we can get Pawdme a little brother?” she mused, already picturing their trip to the shelter. “We would wake up a little later than we do now, go jogging when the streets are less busy, after the morning work rush.” Not that New York was ever empty in her area but she was certain they could find a decent time.
“On the warmer days, Pawdme can join us but I am not sure she’ll appreciate the busy streets. There are less places for her to explore that aren’t super loud and scary so we will have to feel that out.” It was the consequence of living city life. Unfortunately for the Senator, that was what both of her parents wanted. “We would go to work in the evenings to our respective theatres and concert halls. On nights we aren’t working, we can visit our parents or my siblings for dinner.”
She linked her hand with Ophelia’s and rubbed her fingers, her eyes still closed. “After a long day of work and dinner, I’ll give you a little foot rub and then we will have awesomely passionate sex for the next few hours before waking up and doing it all over again.” Avery grinned. It was almost boringly domestic but Avery couldn’t wait. She couldn’t wait to be settled in with Ophelia and just happily living their lives.
Ophelia undid the braid she had woven into Avery's long hair, closing her eyes as she allowed herself to imagine the scenes she described.
She could imagine them going to the shelter, both of them fighting every bone in their body to not take each animal home with them. The only reasoning that sticks being that the apartment is too small, and the animals wouldn't have room to thrive.
She imagined jogging with Avery, the ambient street noise a perfect song to run to. How she would continue to challenge Avery with surprise races, and how Avery could bend the rules so she would win.
Their careers- a vision Ophelia stumbled on, due to the current situation, but a vision she was determined to make a reality.
It all felt so right, like it was all already set in stone, just waiting for them to come and start.
Ophelia laughed at the last thought, fluttering her eyes open as her girlfriend finished talking. The distraction worked, it felt like she could breathe a little easier, with a light at the end of the tunnel to aim towards. "Sounds amazing," She lifted Avery's hand to her lips, pressing a few sweet kisses to the back of it. "I can't wait."
Suddenly the name hits her like a lightning bolt and the smaller blonde looks at the other girl with surprise. "Wait -- Avery's Ophelia?" she shouts as if there's only one Ophelia in the Aurora Bay area, but she's seen photos briefly on Avery's phone of someone who looks similar.
Whoa. Talk about solving a mystery that wasn't really one, but Stevie brightens with excitement as they take a drink from her hands. "I'm the pizza person! And Avery's friend, she talks about you like, all the time, dude."
The title made her smile more than it should have. "Avery's Ophelia!" She laughed gently, listening carefully as she danced along to the beat.
As she listened, however, her eyes widened as excitement overtook her. "Pizza friend Stevie!! Stevie Stevie! Hi!" A wide grin overtook her face. "It's so nice to finally meet you!" Wherever her girlfriend was watching from, somewhere in that club, Ophelia hoped Avery got a laugh out of how much she lit up, bouncing in her spot with excitement. "I've heard a lot about you too. You and Dallas make her so happy. Did you have fun on the ghost hunt?"
Avery watched as the words sunk into her girlfriend, Ophelia clearly deep in thought and seriously considering her options. She instinctively knew which one her girlfriend would choose but wanted her to come to that conclusion herself. Ophelia was a strong woman, someone Avery admired, and she knew she would want to fight—she would want to protect others—so all they needed was someone who had the same fire in them.
And Sloane was nothing if not an inferno.
Still, it was not an easy decision to make and she immediately noticed the tears threatening the corner of Ophelia’s eyes. She reached up and cupped her cheek, reminding her she wasn’t alone and that she was allowed to cry. She wanted to make a joke, to repeat Ophelia’s attempt at distraction, but she had more important words to say. “I will support you no matter what happens.” If it backfired and meant that Ophelia got burned in the end, Avery would be right by her side to figure things out. “I’ll be by your side to the very end, Phe.” That was a promise she had every intention of keeping.
Ophelia was hesitant to look back down at her girlfriend, knowing the floodgates might give out if she did. It was a losing battle, a few tears broke free when she felt Avery's sweet caress on her cheek. She knew she wasn't alone, and Avery's words only reaffirmed that, but the path ahead of them was daunting. She only hoped she had the strength that was needed from her.
She glanced down at Avery, only finding love and support in her eyes. Ophelia placed a hand over Avery's, squeezing it gently as she nodded, taking her words to heart. She pressed a gentle kiss to her palm, saying gently, "Thank you."
She leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to Avery's lips, feeling so incredibly lucky that she got to have her in her life. She pulled away after a moment, smiling gently as she wiped the tears from her eyes before they could fall down her cheeks. "Tell me more? Of your thoughts about New York?" She knew what she needed to do, and the daunting journey ahead of them, but she really wanted to hear something good. She wanted a distraction, if only for a moment.
Once she was settled with her drink, Sloane turned to look out of the window they were sitting next to, noting how much better the town was already looking. The massive clean up effort was amazing - it was hard to even tell there had been any kind of storm here let alone one that had such a huge effect on the landscape. Smiling softly at the mention of meeting each others parents she felt her heart in her throat, knowing what Avery’s parents had brought up when they’d been together but assuming Ophelia wouldn’t mention it. How wrong she could be.
As she started to talk, the redhead’s eyes slid from where they had been looking at the street to land on the other’s face, her whole body starting to tremble. Her breath shaking in her chest with each inhale she moved her hands into her lap, instantly starting to clench them together, twisting her fingers inside her fist to try and stop the emotions from spilling out of her eyes which was what they were dangerously close to doing.
Hearing that Ophelia had been through something similar? Sloane was ashamed in herself for feeling an inkling of relief for just a split second because it meant someone truly did know how much of a creep that man was. She didn’t want to think that because it meant Ophelia had been through something horrible - but the redhead couldn’t help it. She’d spent the last few weeks feeling so alone in this whirlwind of gossip where she was being trashed while he was being praised, that having even just one other person in the world who knew what she was truly talking about? That felt pretty priceless.
“I’m so sorry…” She croaked, pressing her lips together with a shake of her head, trying to compose herself but not having much luck. “That you, that he, to you…” it was hard to form a full sentence, sniffing she looked upwards to stop herself from crying. Or trying too. “You did the right thing, by the way. You should be proud of yourself.”
Ophelia shook her head, her own tears stinging the corners of her eyes. "I'm so sorry for what happened to you." She was struggling to hold back her tears as well, the feeling of catharsis from telling another soul, one who understood, what happened, mixed with the grief, sadness, and anger all a bit overwhelming.
"What he did was wrong," She took another soft breath, wanting to control her emotions some, even though she knew it was a losing battle. "He took advantage of you." She reached out her hand, letting it rest on the table, there to offer support to Sloane if she needed it. "Of us. He's a powerful man, and he knows how to wield the power he holds."
Ophelia glanced down at her cup, losing the battle with her tears as one slipped down her cheek. She said truthfully, "Thank you... but... I felt like a coward, running away like I did." She sniffled, another small traitorous tear following the first as she remembered her last day at the company. That man made her flee, leave her home behind. Her family. She didn't even get to say goodbye to most of them. "I still feel guilty, knowing he's still roaming those halls without a worry- because I didn't say a word."
She looked back up at Sloane, "But I'm glad I'm here. I'm here for you. You're not alone, and I'm so sorry I didn't realize what had happened sooner."
“I love you too.” The reaction was immediate, a large smile gracing her lips as she looked over at her girlfriend. When Pawdme abandoned her lap, Avery took advantage and laid down so that her head was resting on it. “Stolen!” she declared, sticking her tongue out at Pawdme. The cat was nonplussed before huffing and walking off to explore, her leash giving her enough room to do it comfortably.
Avery returned her eyes to Ophelia for a brief second before she closed them—content to just bask in her girlfriend’s scent. “Getting him fired is the easy part,” Avery explained. Her parents were trusted and scary enough that even the implication of impropriety on Harrison’s part would cause the company to drop him out of fear of liability. Frankly, it was already a surprise they kept him after the scandal. It was only his privilege that was keeping him afloat. “The hard part is doing it in a way where Sloane can benefit too. It doesn’t help her if he just silently disappears. Her reputation is ruined.”
Her eyes opened and she met Ophelia’s, her own turning serious. Avery was a dork and sometimes had one braincell but she had her family’s analytical mind and the academic know how to figure out problems like this. “I know she’s your competition but I have a feeling you wouldn’t want to win without giving her a fair shot too.” Ophelia was too good for underhanded methods and taking advantage of another’s misfortune.
Admittedly, Avery had been strategizing all of this since finding out what had happened to Ophelia. All she needed was the go-ahead to put things into motion. Harrison had hurt the love of her life and a friend and she wanted him to pay. “The only way to restore her reputation is to make it loud and clear why he was fired, make it known that he was in the wrong. It probably has to be a declaration from himself or a public and objective hearing. Neither will happen unless Sloane… or you… kick up a legal stink. Sloane has the better case, especially with someone to back up her allegations.”
She took Ophelia’s hand and placed a gentle kiss on it. “But only if you want to. It might make this a larger scandal and you will be implicated too. These things tend to follow the victims who speak up.” Avery shook her head. She wanted Ophelia to think it over. “It may taint your own reputation, even though you hadn’t agreed to it. Women gain a reputation for being difficult when they make a scene.” If she just wanted Harrison fired, that was easy enough, but if she wanted to ensure that no one else got hurt and that he couldn’t work in the industry again—that he couldn’t just find another job with another prestigious company—she had to speak up at the risk of hurting herself.
Avery knew it was a difficult choice and would support Ophelia either way—without judgment.
Ophelia's fingers ran through Avery's hair as she listened, her fingers scraping gentle lines against her scalp idly. Whenever Ophelia was faced with heavy thought, or something made her a little uneasy, she found it easiest to cope when she did something with her hands. Usually, it was tapping idle tunes against her thigh, but with this- she found it much easier to ground herself when she focused on her girlfriend.
She listened intently, taking each one to heart. When the word competition hit her ears, however, her head immediately shook, a brief look of confusion flashing across her face. The thought of using this awful situation to her own benefit had not even crossed her mind. Avery was right, she wouldn't want to "win" without being on an even playing field.
"No, of course not." She breathed a little laugh, not actually finding anything in the situation funny, but to ease some of the weight that rest on her chest.
Up until that point, Ophelia's heart had been propelling towards the plan of causing a ruckus- getting him blacklisted from the community. But, after listening carefully, she gave it a second thought. Her hands paused the little braid she had been forming as the thoughts ran through her mind.
Her thoughts drifted to Sloane, and how much that monster had taken away from her. How alone she must have felt- how she must feel. Ophelia knew how isolated and helpless she felt because of him.
Did she mind being implicated? Having her own reputation tainted? If it would help clear Sloane's name, and protect the future generations of young girls from similar treatment- not at all.
But it wasn't her decision to make. Sloane should have the final say.
"I'll think on it a little more. Ask Sloane if this is a battle she wants to fight. She might be willing to if she knows she isn't--" She took a little breath, biting back the emotions that threatened to break free. "That she isn't alone."
This wasn't a decision to be made lightly-- and she couldn't help but be scared. If this didn't go right, she might not only fail herself, take away most (if not all) professional opportunities in the future, fail Sloane, but lose any value her words held and allow the creep to roam free- free to harm others.
The fear was clearly etched onto her face, but she tried to be brave. "You alright with a stay at home wife if this goes south?" She joked, a halfhearted laugh gently escaping her lips, taking a deep breath as she blinked away her tears, looking over at their Senator who took a lot of interest in batting around a baby pinecone.
Avery bit her lip, trying her best to contain her excitement at hearing Ophelia's words. Truth was, as much as Avery hoped this would never end, this, them in Aurora Bay, had to eventually. The town was too small for both of their talents and she'd be lying if she said that only her parents dreamed of the New York Philharmonics for her. She wanted it too--she just didn't want it enough to sacrifice Ophelia for it.
She reached out and took Ophelia's hand, feeling the need to hold it. "We will figure it out together. I won't let you go back there so long as he's still there." Again, she would never jeopardize Ophelia's well-being just for herself. "We'll figure out a way to get him fired." For all of Avery's modesty, her family was undoubtedly powerful and she was certain getting one man fired wouldn't be that hard. She just needed Ophelia's help and approval. She wasn't going to force her to fight something she didn't want to--especially if it would blow back on her girlfriend.
"And you weren't thinking too far ahead," she added, a small blush coating her cheeks. "I was thinking it too. I was kind of already imagining where all of Pawdme's furniture would go in my loft. I'd probably remove some of the instruments I don't play--relocate them to my parent's house again." She definitely imagined it--a future with Ophelia in New York. Both of them would hang out in the mornings, perform at night, enjoy everything fun the city had to offer in their child-free life. It sounded like domestic bliss and Avery was rather determined to make it happen now that Ophelia confirmed the possibility.
She looked down at their joined hands, her thumb rubbing purposely on Ophelia's empty ring finger. She bit her lip to control her grin and immediately looked away. She had much more work to do before that was a possibility.
The offer to figure it out as a team eased any worries that might have floated into her mind, instead just feeling the excitement from the fact they were on the same page. They were going to move forward- together.
Avery's following comment caught her off guard, however. Of course she wanted him to be fired, and she made thinly veiled threats to have that happen when they saw him in New York, but she didn't know it was an actual possibility. "If you can think of a way, I'll help however I can." She looked down at the grass, the fingers of her free hand running through the soft blades. "He needs to be fired- before he can hurt anyone else."
She looked back over at Avery as she described what their future home could be like, a giddy grin tugging on her lips. She'd be lying if she said she wasn't wondering what the setup would be like, or how they could build a life together in the city they both loved.
Ophelia couldn't help but notice where Avery's eyes landed next, her own cheeks warming up as she realized what she was thinking. She had almost a dozen paper rings at home, so it wasn't the first time she had thought about it, but it still sent butterflies racing through her stomach.
She caught Avery's cheek in her palm as she turned away, pressing a soft kiss to her lips before she could go far. It wouldn't happen soon, but she wanted it to be clear that one day she wanted it to happen.
"I love you," She laughed gently, feeling the Senator leave her lap to investigate whatever affection was going on above her.
Avery purposely brought Pawdme's longer leash so that she could sit around with her girlfriend as their child explored to her heart's content. When Ophelia pulled out the treats, however, the wilderness was quickly forgotten in favour of whatever fishy goodness was in those tubes. Pawdme was cheeky and instead of picking one, just knocked her entire body against both of Ophelia's hands and the tubes, making her wishes well known and Avery laugh in the process.
She took a seat on the grass and took one of the tubes, opening it up for Pawdme to enjoy, Ophelia holding the other one. "You're lucky I take you out on walks every day or else you might get too chunky for double treats," Avery teased, scratching the cat's head. She loved the little void more than she ever could have imagined--that sentiment was doubled as she looked up at her hot girlfriend, all giggles and smiles. "I love this," she said, leaning over to press a small kiss on Ophelia's cheek. "You. Pawd. Jogging in the morning together... It's all so perfect. I never want it to end."
As Pawdme snacked, Avery grabbed her own water bottle and drank, her eyes never leaving Ophelia. When she was done, she put it away and took Ophelia's hand. "Phe?" A shy smile graced her lips. "Did you mean it? Back when we met my parents... that New York was an option for us?"
Ophelia held out the treat for Pawdme to snack on, leaning into the sweet, brief kiss. Even still, the little kisses and mindless caresses made little butterflied float through her stomach. She had grown familiar with the rosy, warm happiness Avery had made her new home, and she never wanted to leave.
To hear those sentiments repeated back to her immediately only warmed her heart more. "Me either," She hummed gently, discarding the now empty tube as Pawd crawled onto her lap.
She focused on the cat, giving her scratches until she heard Avery say her name. "Yeah?" She asked gently, a smiling mirroring Avery's gracing her own face. Her cheeks grew warm at the follow up question, "I mean... yeah. Of course." She laughed gently, looking down at their child who was purring in her lap.
"The week we were there... I don't know.. It just kind of felt.. Right. You know?" She looked over at Avery, hoping her words weren't coming on too strong. "I kind of got in my head- thinking of all of these cute domestic things. Probably getting far too ahead of myself." She looked down at Paw, hoping the little void could save her from embarrassing herself. "But yeah, of course I meant it. I would just need to figure out how to dance with the company without putting myself back on that guy's radar."
"Phe, slow down, I have precious cargo!" Avery shouted, doing her best to keep up with her girlfriend as she pushed the cat stroller with their senator inside. Today was their first day jogging with Pawdme in the stroller and Avery was doing her best to make sure their little senator was comfortable and enjoying herself. That meant avoiding every stray bump and rock while occasionally looking down to make sure she wasn't over-heating or dying to be freed.
Fortunately, she seemed to be enjoying herself.
When she finally caught up with Ophelia, she took her girlfriend's hand. "Why don't we take a little break and let Pawdme out to explore for a bit?" Before doing that, she grabbed Ophelia's water bottle from the stroller and passed it to her before passing her a little towel as well. "Is this why people have babies? Strollers are so convenient at holding things," she joked. "I even packed Pawdme some snacks!"
As Ophelia drank, she undid the stroller and hooked Pawdme onto her leash, picking the cat up and placing her on the ground. Almost immediately, Pawdme began to lead them off the path and towards the grass. "It's your turn to push now, peasant!" she ordered, fully expecting Ophelia to follow behind them.
"Sorry, sorry-" Ophelia laughed gently, slowing to let her girlfriend and their child catch up. She looked over at the pair, the sight making her pause her running altogether. It was simply too adorable, her tall girlfriend pushing a pretty nice stroller with a little void peeking out of it. "I'm certain that's why people have babies," She joked, taking a sip from her bottle. "The more babies, the more storage, right?"
"Oh- I see how it is! Wait for me!" Ophelia couldn't mock offense for more than a second, not with her body shaking from laughter. She followed behind them, settling in the middle of the grassy area the void was exploring and kneeled down, rifling through the lower compartment for the senator's treats. She turned to the cat, who wandered over when she saw the familiar tubes of squeezy treats. She held out the tubes, wanting to see which one the cat sniffed first. "Tuna or salmon, Senator?" She giggled, looking up at Avery.
Liza nodded when her name was echoed, a bright grin matching on her own face as Ophelia spoke. She seemed nice- and from everything Avery has told her, Ophelia was all around a good person, which made Liza all the more happy, because her best friend deserved the best.
"Okay, that's fair. But still! Next time I should get some sort of warning so I can get the good stuff going. You're about an hour too soon for my cheesecake brownies to be done. And this morning I had cinnamon streusel muffins. What's something you like? Like a flavor combo? I'll be sure to make something." She nodded as she said it too, wanting to make it legit. At the question about Avery, Liza moved then, walking back over to the display case of cakes and cookies and pastries and she bent down, pointing over to one. "As for Aves....these. I'm pretty sure." She tacked on with a laugh.
"I promise, I'll make sure you have a proper heads up for next time," She giggled- trying to think of any flavor that wasn't just chocolate. "I- hm... I think raspberry and chocolate is my favorite combo right now. Or something like orange and cranberry. If you ever need a guinea pig for anything though, I'm totally down."
She smiled, following her over towards the display case, her eyes falling on the brownies Liza pointed at. "Perfect." It was one of the first treats she baked for Avery when she started staying over more frequently, good to know it was one of her favorites. "I'll take two, please. And two of whatever your favorite is right now." She stood, wincing a little as she put weight on her injured ankle.
It was a weird kind of … cordial situationship she and Ophelia had managed to strike up in the wake of finding themselves in the same ballet studio again, not to mention Sloane’s…friendship with Avery? No, that was taking it a bit far but compared to most people in this place she wanted to smack her the less than most. A minor improvement. So when Ophelia asked if she wanted to get coffee one afternoon the redhead found herself actually accepting the invitation. Well if she was going to be stuck in Aurora Bay the best idea was probably to find some allies there to make the place more plantable. She was arguing with pretty much everyone else she came across after all. What was it they said about redhead being fiery? Sounds fake.
Pushing into the little cafe the other dancer had chosen she was hit with the intoxicating warmth the smell of coffee held for her. Some people talked about people or places being home and while that was true for Sloane, the scent of coffee was also of great comfort to her. Like an old friend or something equally as sappy.
Probably because it kept her propped up 95% of the time when it came to early morning rehearsals.
“Hey” Sloane gave her a smile, bright, the kind that filled her whole face and most didn’t see very often. “I’m going to grab a drink, you want anything else?” Before quickly placing her own order, a splash of almond milk in her filter coffee just as a small bonus since it was a Friday. Treat yourself and all that.
Settling herself opposite the dark haired girl she took a sip of the drink, relishing it before she spoke. “Avery said you guys went to New York recently, I ran into her the day you got back at the bakery, did you have fun?”
"Oh, no I'm alright. Thank you though-" She shook her head with a soft, taking another sip of her coffee as Sloane went to get hers. Maybe coffee wasn't the best thing for Ophelia to get, as she felt the nerves bundle up in her stomach.
Even with the nerves, she smiled as the dancer settled down across from her. "Yeah! We met each other's parents and that was... nerve-wracking to say the least." She laughed gently, before her warm smile faltered. Avery had told her that they talked about it, that Sloane knew that she knew. No point in walking on eggshells.
"I-- um... I heard what happened. Or what they're saying happened." Ophelia shook her head, her grip on her mug tightening a bit as she thought about the scoundrel of a man. "Avery's family was talking about it and they asked for my opinion on it and it took everything in me to not go off about how awful--" She couldn't get the name past her lips. Not because she was afraid he would pop out of the shadows, but because he had already taken too much from them, she wouldn't give his name another breath. "-- he is."
She looked over at Sloane, a variety of emotions dancing behind her dark eyes. "I knew that what they were saying wasn't true because..." She had only ever told Avery, not another soul knew- she had kept it locked so tight in her chest that it was hard to make the words leave her lips. But she needed to tell her. Ophelia needed Sloane to know she wasn't alone. "He did the same thing to me. Or... tried to.. It's why I'm here- why I left so quickly."
